This pan of creamy baked scrambled eggs is ready to feed a crowd in just a few minutes. 18 large Dierbergs eggs 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt Freshly ground black pepper 6 ounces (1 1/2 cups) shredded or crumbled cheese (goat, havarti, fontina) In large bowl with hand mixer, beat eggs, salt, and pepper at medium speed until well mixed, about 2 minutes. With mixer running, sprinkle in cheese and beat just until combined. Place 10 x 15 x 1-inch jellyroll pan that has been lightly coated with no-stick cooking spray on oven rack; carefully pour eggs into pan. Bake in 300°F. oven until eggs are just set, about 14 to 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into squares. SHEET PAN BISCUIT SQUARES Just cut the slab of tender homemade biscuits to fit the baked eggs, then pile on your favorite sandwich fixings. 4 cups Dierbergs flour 2 tablespoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 12 tablespoons Dierbergs butter, cut into small pieces and chilled 2 cups buttermilk In work bowl of food processor fitted with steel knife blade, combine flour, baking powder,

and salt; pulse several times to combine. Add butter; pulse until mixture is evenly combined and resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk; pulse just until combined. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface; dust top with flour and gently fold dough over on itself 5 or 6 times. Press dough evenly into 10 x 15 x 1-inch jellyroll pan that has been lightly coated with no-stick cooking spray. Bake in 450°F. oven until light golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. My kids favorite show growing up was always Scooby doo (I really like it too). In the cartoon the gang was always running from “The Phantom.” Well this Phantom may be a bit mysterious but it is nothing to run from! In fact I’d say give it a bear hug. Its huge fruit is so complex that it keeps evolving while the bottle is open. It's pure enjoyment. In a sugar-coated, iced-and-sprinkled, decorated-to-the-max season of cookie craziness, there’s something to be said for

keeping it simple. CLASSIC SHORTBREAD SQUARES The wonderful flavors intensify the longer these cookies sit. Store them in airtight containers. 1 cup Dierbergs butter, softened 1/2 cup Dierbergs sugar 3 tablespoons Dierbergs milk (divided) 2 cups Dierbergs flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup Dierbergs powdered sugar

In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar, and 1 tablespoon of the milk at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add flour and salt; beat at low speed just until combined. Spread dough in 9-inch square cake pan that has been lined with foil extending about 1 inch above sides of pan. Bake in 350°F. oven until edges are light golden brown, about 35 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes.

Use edges of foil to lift shortbread from pan onto cutting board. Cut into 16 squares. In small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and remaining 2 tablespoons milk until smooth. BISSINGER’S CHOCOLATE CINNAMON CHILI TART A hint of spice sets this decadent tart apart from the rest. Recipe courtesy Dave Owens - Bissinger's Chocolate. 3 bars (3 ounces each) Bissinger’s 75% dark chocolate, finely chopped 1/2 cup Dierbergs flour 2 teaspoons ground chili powder 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Dash ground red pepper (optional) 1 cup Dierbergs butter, at room temperature 1 cup firmly packed Dierbergs brown sugar 4 large Dierbergs eggs, at room temperature Lightly coat 10 1/2-inch tart pan with removable bottom with no-stick cooking spray. Line with parchment paper; spray parchment and set aside Place chocolate in 2-cup glass measure. Microwave (high) 1 minute. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth; set aside.

In small bowl, whisk together flour, chili powder, cinnamon, and ground red pepper; set aside. In large mixer bowl, beat butter and brown sugar at medium speed until well mixed and light in color, about 4 minutes. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating 1 minute after each addition. Beat in cooled chocolate at low speed just until blended. Beat in flour mixture at low speed just until blended. Pour mixture into prepared tart pan. Bake in 325°F. oven until edges are set and center is almost set, 25 minutes. Turn oven off. Leave tart in oven with door ajar for 15 minutes. Loosen edges of tart from pan with sharp knife. Cool on wire rack to room temperature. Chill cake until set, about 2 hours. Turn tart out onto serving plate; remove and discard parchment. If desired, dust top with cocoa powder, powdered sugar or drizzle with warmed orange marmalade. Makes 12 servings Per serving: Calories 369 • Fat 27g Saturated Fat 16g • Sodium 43mg Carbohydrate 29g • Fiber 4g • Protein 4g
