Project Scope The challenge of this project was to take two cultures and merge them as well as making the project it’s self-modern. The program required us to make Our building/buildings sustainable. Another major challenge in this project Was the near body of water? We were told to incorporate the water into our Design. Next we had to find a way to preserve the water. Challenges came With incorporating water into our design such as the energy consequences. With cooling from the water also came heat and moisture. With this heat we Tackled another problem heat. We had to create a geothermal vent where The buildings would self-cool and self-let heat ours. Because we where told to make the buildings sustainable we also took in factor the wind Power so we put wind turbines in our design. With this being a Japanese American culture adaptive garden, we had to create some hard Scapes and landscapes. We also had to pay attention to detail and meanings to Certain objects. Such as a Garden lanterns, which was once used to illuminate The grounds of Buddhist temples. Later when tea ceremonies became Popular they were placed along the path leading to the Tea gathering.

Project Scope In this winery project we where asked to design a structure for tourist and incorporate and/ or merge the exisiting architecture throughout our design. We where asked to select a location anywhere in the world and I chose San Gimigano a town in Italy. With me choosing San Gimigano my proffessor asked to me incorporate the rich architecture of Italy and innovaite it and merge my resarch with design. We where told to create design concepts and based on those concepts we where given a program to follow.

Project Scope In this course, we where asked to examine the ways in which urban architecture and architectural design of public space can be designed to integrate & reflect - the current needs and collective beliefs of the public; as well as collective aspirations– a the building as living cultural, social, ecological + political stance - acted upon smooth and striated urban grids to establish and set the tone for future development and collective life in diverse urban environments, such as Houston.

Project Scope In this design studio we as the students where asked to create a Regenerative Design for Independence Heights that includes modular infill Housing in Pocket Neighborhoods, and a Master Plan that connects housing to proposed civic buildings while reconciling neighborhood environmental and climate justice issues in Independence Heights, Houston, Texas. In order to learn the best practices of regenerative design processes and to produce a regenerative development (project) that serves the evolution of the neighborhood post-natural disaster and compounded environmental justice issues, using service learning, public interest design, regenerative design, integrated design best practices, and critical regionalism theory.
