Georgetown University is based in the Villa le Balze, nestled in the hillside of Fiesole. The villa was designed in 1911 by the English duo of Geoffrey Scott and Cecil Pinsent as an ex novo Renaissance home for Charles Augustus Strong, an American philosopher.
