In the Quality Standard read the Clause and Sub Clause that corresponds to the numbering indicated on the WI. o Take note as to what the Clause and Sub Clause pertains to. o When reading through the WI/ conducting the Interview Audit make sure that the Clause and Sub Clause that are called out in the numbering are relevant. On the Audit Observation report, fill in relevant information before conducting the audit (i.e. Name, date, etc.) Conduct Vertical Audit by examining documents both above and below the document being audited. o This means examine all the way up to QPM, as well as QSP, QCP and lastly QSRs that pertain to the QWI that is being audited. o In those Documents see if the document being audited is mentioned in the text and listed in the References and Records section. o Note findings on the Audit Observation Report Conduct Horizontal Audit by using the Process Workflow Chart o Verify on the Workflow Chart that Title, Department and Function are labeled correctly o Make sure the input for the WI being audited is the output from a WI upstream. o Make sure the output from the WI being audited is the input to a WI downstream. o Note findings on the Audit Observation Report. Items to Bring With you to the Interview Audit: o Quality Standard o Audit Observation Report o Work Instruction for the task being Audited To conduct the Interview Audit merely ask the relevant worker to complete the task explained in the WI. o Have the worker dictate what he/she is doing while they do it. o Watch his/her hands as much as possible to monitor what they are doing. o Compare what is done/ said to what is written in the instruction. o Note findings on the Audit Observation Report. o Make sure to thank the worker and ask if there is anything else he/she would like to add. Complete necessary information on the Audit Observation Report (i.e. Team Leader Report, Close out Audit Observation, etc)
