CHARITY UNFUNDED CARE THE MISSION OF SCCC is to care for all patients with blood and cancer disorders who reside in our referral region. All patients receive state-ofthe-art care by our physicians and staff. Our patient advocates/financial counselors work closely with the physicians and oncology nurses to identify patients with financial needs. If a patient is eligible, we help coordinate benefits such as replacement medication, co-pay assistance, foundation grants, enrollment in Medicaid and other government assistance programs. With the backing of Space Coast Cancer Foundation (SCCF), we offer assistance with transportation, and

grants to help patients cover expenses of medications (pain, anti-nausea), as well as personal bills including rent, mortgage, car payment, electric bill, water bill, food and other basic necessities of life. Because of the challenges of uncompensated care, we encourage those with means to support SCCF. All donations are directed to cancer patients in Brevard County with financial need. Additionally, scholarships for continuing education for nurses in the field of oncology, as well as grants are available for cancer research performed in Brevard County.
