G R E AT T O M E E T YO U We are a Bondi-based gang of three – a writer, a graphic designer and a videographer – devoted to telling the most scintillating stories, weaving them with words and pictures to capture people’s hearts. Since graduating in Europe and Australia, we have polished our craft, working at the best organisations – Amazon, Ogilvy & Mather and Leo Burnett. We’ve honed our creative abilities alongside clients big and small, including the larger than life personalities of Gordon Ramsay and Justin Hemmes. DEVOTED Storytelling Collective launched officially in 2018, as we believe that

COLLECTIVES ARE THE FUTURE OF THE CREATIVE INDUSTRY. The three of us together are more than the sum of our parts. Between us we bring synergy and flexibility to the creative process. We can take on projects of all shapes and sizes, priding ourselves on our ability to deliver the large-scale results of a bigger studio but at a fraction of the price. And we have triple the fun doing this!

WHY ST O R I E S ? According to science, humans are hardwired for storytelling. That’s why all people and all brands tell stories. And if they do it right, people believe them.

We believe that a $200 pair of sneakers makes our feet look cooler (and feel comfier) than a $25 brand. We feel that we smell more beautiful when misting with a $150 perfume than sprucing up with a $15 body spray. We also believe we look more successful wearing a $2000 watch and a $100 t-shirt, even though we can easily find cheaper and equally well-made alternatives. It is believing that makes it true. PEOPLE RARELY BUY A PRODUCT OR A SERVICE BECAUSE OF ITS FEATURES.

Rather, they buy into it because of the story they tell themselves about what the product will do for them, and how it will make them feel.

It actually only takes us about 8 seconds to either get excited about a text, a movie or a picture, or to quit and move onto something else. FUNNY FACT: A squirrel has an attention span of about 1 second for everyday things – trees, leaves, sky – but can eke out 4 minutes on acorns and nuts.

Firstly, because humans have really short attention spans and we need something to grab us by the horns, to make us sit up and listen. Secondly, market places (real ones and digital ones) are really, really saturated with products and information. Each day there are 2.5 quintillion bytes of data created and consumed globally. H E X LOX STA RT U P C A M PA I G N We collaborated with a Berlin/Sydney company Sphyke, to present their newest product – Hexlox, a smart anti-theft keylock for bikes. We created an animated video and designed a raft of marketing materials to support the launch. The results? Hexlox debuted on Kickstarter and raised €116,290 from 1,916 backers, which catapulted the budding startup into great success – 25,000 Hexlox kits sold worldwide on the very first day of its online launch!
