e were invited by Carina von Sorgenfrei to visit the RBS Luxury Suites. Carina insisted that if we didn’t come, we couldn’t really appreciate what the suites are. She was absolutely right. Who came up with the concept of luxury suites for Bet Shemesh? Alvin & Yehudis Schamroth own these luxury suites, and they came up with the concept in order to provide a more “luxurious” service to parents, grandparents, and anyone who wishes to visit their children, grandchildren, or family and friends here in Ramat Beit Shemesh. Basically, the suites are for anyone who needs a home away from home but still wants to be near their children/family/friends and maintain their independence and privacy. What market need do they fill? Well, I believe that our suites fill a need for luxury and very comfortable accommodations, but we still maintain very reasonable and competitive rates. Who runs the “show”? I guess that’s me – Carina. How old are the suites? Our suites are a year old, so everything is new, clean, fresh, and modern. Who designed them? Alvin Schamroth – he has a talent for great ideas that reach fruition. We always hear that the magic is in the details. Tell us about the details that you offer. Well, all our suites are luxurious, but I will tell you about the Jerusalem Suite. This suite is one large room which has been planned in such a way to comprise a kitchenette, dining area, computer (desktop) station, lounge/salon area with a two seat and three seat genuine leather sofa with a glass coffee table, as well as a gor48

geous sleeping area which has two super comfy American beds made up with elegant linen. This suite has an ultra modern en suite with a big shower that has a built in seat. The lounge/salon leads out onto a large mirpeset/patio which overlooks the Judean Hills. You can relax out there under the shade of a large umbrella and enjoy the view or a barbeque – gas barbeque provided. All the suites have flat screen television, wireless internet, Shabbat urn, fridge, microwave, kettle, and safe, and are thought out to the last practical detail such as hairdryers and soft fluffy towels and the use of a washing machine and dryer. What are the amenities close to RBS Luxury Suites? Luckily we are located right behind the merkaz in RBSA, so we are basically a two minute walk from the shops, banks, kupat cholim, money changers, eating areas, etc. and we are very close to a number of shuls and Yeshivot. Who are your typical guests? Our guests are usually parents or grandparents visiting family, but we have had on occasion an individual who utilized all our suites at once for accommodating friends who were attending a simchah. Our suites worked out perfectly, as they wanted everyone close by.

How about parents who want a break but need to be close to home? That’s a great idea. Parents who wish to spoil themselves with an affordable luxury and still be close enough when needed are welcome to spend their breaks here at our beautiful suites. With this type of fancy suites, why would anyone need a hotel? Well, they wouldn’t, as our setup is just like a hotel but much more homey and personal. What do your guests say after their stay? I have many testimonials, but then here’s the gist of them: “We appreciate the close proximity of the towns shopping area – just a few steps up to the café, bakery and markets” “We are happy with the personalized warm service and the central location.” “The suites exceeded our expectations – layout, internet, location, and view.” “This is our 3rd time back and it is such a delight, a real home from home. How can people contact you for reservations? They can contact me, Carina, at 054 831 8639 anytime, or in the evenings between 5pm and midnight at 02 991 < 1595
