MEDIA RELEASE 24 March 2010
VINNIES STILL GOING STRONG AND PROVIDING RETRO FLAIR IN NORTHBRIDGE Despite major construction work on William Street in Northbridge, the St Vincent de Paul Society is reminding customers to visit the Vinnies Retro Centre located at 267B William Street, Northbridge as it is still in operation providing customers with a great range of fashionable, reasonably priced eccentric and vintage fashion.
Lucinda Ardagh, Media Spokesperson for the St Vincent de Paul Society WA says that a number of shops along William Street have recently closed down and traffic in the area has slowed due to renovations across from the Centre but Vinnies Northbridge is still operating.
“Vinnies Northbridge is an ideal place for the community to find unique clothing, jewellery, books, accessories and bric-a-brac for the wardrobe. I urge the community to think Vinnies Retro Northbridge next time you are after something a little bit funky and original,” Lucinda says.
Vinnies Northbridge is open Monday to Friday from 9am - 4:30pm and on Saturdays from 9am - 4pm.
The Centre also provides volunteer opportunities and interested people can find out more by contacting the Society on (08) 9475 5491 today.
Vinnies Centres are an important part of the Society’s work in the community and rely solely on donated goods from the public. The Vinnies Retro Centres are always in need of quality items from the 50’s through to the 80’s.
Donations will be gratefully accepted at Vinnies Northbridge or any of the other 43 Centres across Western Australia.
