THE3 PILLARS

1 Tuition Assistance

Where we’ve been: The Basilian Fathers believe that education is a gift from God, to be shared among all peoples regardless of social or economic standings.

Supporting this belief, CC has awarded millions of dollars in need-based assistance to families.

Where we are: Our school endowment currently sits at $18 million, and we fundraise an additional $1 million per year. We allocate approximately $1.5 million in need-based tuition assistance on an annual basis, impacting about 30% of our student body.

Where we are exploring: In order to remain accessible to all qualified young men, we must continue to grow our grant offerings. It is our goal to double available financial aid by 2029. In order to do that, we must Double Our Endowment in the next five years.

2 Faculty Compensation

Where we’ve been: For years, CC faced the challenge of finding outstanding teachers who chose the mission of Catholic education over the money available in public education.

Where we are: Thanks to the generosity of many, CC is blessed to now compensate our faculty and staff to the equivalent salaries of the top three public school districts in the state. We have also recently established an endowment for faculty and professional development.

Where we are exploring: Our goal is to provide the best educational environment for our students. In order to do this, we need to attract and retain the best possible teachers, coaches, and staff. We also need to provide our employees with the opportunity to engage in the best possible professional development. Growing Our Endowment is crucial to this effort.

3 School Campus Development

Where we’ve been: CC has thrived through a history unique to any private schoolthe transition between five different campuses. From our humble beginnings on Harper Avenue in 1928, our “new” school on Belmont Avenue from 1934-1951, our infamous 6565 West Outer Drive, our “temporary” 27-year stay at Breakfast Drive in Redford, to our final location here in Novi, CC’s school spirit, enrollment, and achievement have never waivered.

Where we are: Currently situated on almost 120 acres in Novi, Michigan, Catholic Central is preparing for campus and facility growth. Recently approved or in-progress projects include the George & Mary Turek Hall of Science, a connector road and north entrance to 12 Mile Road, northern athletic fields, and a parking structure.

Where we are exploring: This is always the most discussed and evolving aspect of our campus development and, as a result, can also contain the greatest number of rumors. While our current facilities are strong, the constant competition from surrounding schools continues to push us to explore our capabilities to ensure we are offering the best possible student experience. We are currently exploring a number of on-sight developments, including a field house, auditorium, student commons, weight room, wrestling facility, and alumni center. We are also exploring additional property to house potential athletic developments such as a tennis center, natatorium, and golf practice facility. Again, these ideas are simply being explored and are completely dependent on funding, board approval, and city approval. We will not raise tuition to pay for expansion of facilities.
