President’s Message: Hello Everyone! I am so tired of this cold weather. I cannot wait until summer get here. There is so much more to do during the summer months. I am sure everyone is busy planning weddings, graduations, vacations, gardening, BBQ, swimming pool parties. The list is endless. Congratulations to DANIEL BEAVER, JERRY BEAVER, ERIK OESTREICH, JASON STEPCHUK, and PETER KACZMARCZYK on being GLDBA-GLDWBA 2014 CHAMPS in both Handicap and Actual at Flint, MI. DAD sponsored their team. The DAD’s women softball will be starting their games every Monday at Claude Park in Redford on Middlebelt between 6 and 7 Mile Road. See the attached schedule. Come on out and watch the ladies play. DAD is planning to continue having DINGO during the summer months. We will have DINGO for July and August at the Moose Lodge # 1795 in Dearborn Heights. The address is 27225 W Warren, Dearborn Heights.

If you do not have any plans and want to do something come out and play DINGO. Watch out for the flyers. Check out our website and Facebook for details. We will have our next regular meeting there on Friday, May 30th, 7:00 pm. September 6, 2014 is our first annual Pig Roast. Tickets are now being sold for this event. Please see Senate Bush or any DAD officers to buy your ticket today. DAD will start doing the bi-monthly newsletter online. We will be asking you for your email address if you have one. If you do not have a computer let us know and we will continue to send you a newsletter. We will continue to mail out newsletters to those we do not have email addresses for until December 2014. This will help us save on costs for printing and postage. Effective January 2015, all newsletters will be sent electronically through email and we will only mail out to those that do not have computers.

Happy Spring! Caroll Schlorff
