FAL L FAVORI TES
WITH PASTORS TONY & KATHY MILLER What is your favorite family tradition during the Holiday Season? We have had many Christmas traditions over the years, but one of our favorites took place on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve we always had three beautifully wrapped gifts waiting for each one of our daughters underneath the tree. The girls were always excited to see what each gift had inside just for them. The gifts were always filled with matching “Christmas Pajamas”. Giving the girls pajamas then became one of our biggest family traditions. Now we get to watch our daughters pass this Christmas tradition down to their own families. What a great joy this brings to our hearts!
What are you most thankful for? When I think of being thankful, I think of someone who is “full of thanks”, which I am. My life has been “full” over the years because of five defining moments. One, the moment that Father God came into my life and changed me forever. Two, the moment I married the most wonderful husband God ever made. Three, the moments God gave us our three daughters in June, July, and December. Four, For the many friends and many special moments their friendship has brought to my life throughout the years. Last but not least the day we moved to Oklahoma and made it our home.
What is something you want The Gate family to remember for the New Year? Yesterday is gone, today is here. The future is free. God’s word is alive and true. Trust and obey because there is no other way. Be happy in Jesus!
This fall season has been very eventful at The Gate. With Pumpkins spread across our property, and corn stalks scattered we embraced it with thanksgiving. Our youth ministry succeeded with their pumpkin patch fundraiser which helped them raise money toward their Total Abandonment trip this summer. We would like to give a special thank you to all of the volunteers and workers who helped make this happen. We also had our annual Game Day Tailgate event which included food, fellowship, and lots of fun. As many of you know we had the honor of having Peter Daniels with us at The Gate to teach classes and train many leaders to becoming what God has called them to be. With great expectation we had our women’s “Be” Conference here in Oklahoma City. With many hearts touched and lives changed we pushed to fulfill what God had planned to do in the lives of women across this region. The 2013 fall season has been a great one that we will never forget!
