Obama is visiting Flanders Field American Cemetery and Memoria in Waregem On March 26, 2014, the president of the United States will be visiting a dark tourism spot “Waregem” in Belgium with His Majesty King Philippe and Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo on a tour. Flanders Field American Cemetery is the final resting place for some of the American servicemen who gave their lives during World War I. President Obama, along with His Majesty King Philippe and Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo, will pay their respects to the death at the cemetery. This has made it clear that Belgium is not only a destination for the best chocolates and delicious waffles.
“If you think Chernobyl is exciting wait till you can experience the decay that is Charleroi.” It doesn’t only have Wargem, but also The Charleroi city safari, if you think Chernobyl is exciting wait till you can experience the decay that is Charleroi. It revels in its abandoned town atmosphere. The Gravensteen in Gent is another place you can go and get another darker experience in Belgium where there is a real deal castle with a room full of torture equipment’s. It is definitely wicked. In Belgium there is much history like The Menin Gate Memorial and many more. If you have a taste for the macabre then Belgium is a traveling destination you wouldn’t want to miss.
