Creativity and talent...
Art has its own importance in life. There are only few people who are blessed with this talent. Artists are sensitive observers of nature and surroundings around them. On 29th January, 2013, we had our Annual Art Exhibition display which was spell-binding. The Art Room was colourful and overflowed with creativity and talent. We had village women dancing on the posts, Jennies coming out of the magic lamp, the world famous Statue of Liberty, colourful ties and dupattas. The Arctic penguin had also found its way in our Art Room. But ‘Rome was not built in a day’. It took the students
days and months of hard work and dedication to reach their level of perfection. We learnt how to do block printing, screen printing, fabric painting and oil painting. We were also taught the art of using the sickle and hammer for wood carving and the art of making figures out of paper-mache. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. (Mrs.) J. Dobhal, our subject teacher, for all her help, guidance and encouragement she provided at every step. Elishba Sarah Singh (X-D)

My Mother Mothers are very special in our life. There is a famous saying, “God can’t be everywhere so he made the mother.” Nobody can love and make sacrifices like a mother. I am fortunate to have a very loving and caring mother. My mother, whose name is Reena Sachdeva, is a housewife. She is 32 years old. Her favourite colour is Red. She is always busy in her household work but she makes it a point to take some time out from her busy schedule to look after us. Her day starts quite early in the morning and ends late at night. Sometimes I wonder from where she gets all the energy to do so much work and make everybody happy. She plays indoor games like ludo and carom with me. She helps me in my studies. She is an excellent cook and makes delicious dishes. Apart from managing the house she has her own interests like reading fiction novels and is always in search of some good ones. For me she is very precious and I always try to make her happy by obeying and helping her. I am thankful that God has given me a loving mother like her. Tanisha Sachdeva (V-B)
