The art/design team of Jackie Piper and Victoria Whitbread have a shared love of colour and material exploration. Discovering an old colour dictionary in an thrift shop began a journey to re-establish this long forgotten brand. A treasure trove of colour and rich history revived in 2015; first established 1931.

Made in Bangladesh by a small, fair-trade company, our jute collection is sustainably grown and harvested in the jute growing capital of the world. For this natural jute collection, the fibres are less finely spun to create a more natural finish, perfect for everyday dining. They lie really flat, and jute is a natural insulator so it is perfect for protecting the table from hot pots and plates, they add a wonderful textural quality as well as a pop of colour.
We have used evocative British Colour Standard colours such as Petrol Blue & Terracotta make these durable, eco mats as beautiful as they are useful which are easily wiped clean. Matching coasters and napkin rings finish this table story, and they are designed to complement our handblown, recycled glasswares beautifully. The mats are also great in the middle of the table as a trivet or serving mat, all available in some of our best-selling colours.

HOUSE PLANT POT COVERS
A striped, woven plant pot cover made from recycled cement sacks. Just pop over the plant pot, ensuring a water tray is under the pot base to catch any water. Empty cement sacks from the construction industry are collected, washed and shredded. The shredded material is spun into thread, re-dyed & woven into these wonderful pot covers. Style Tip - They also double-up as useful storage around the house for towels, toys, crafting and more!
For use with indoor/house plants only as the recycled material will fade in outdoor UV light. Always place a water tray under the plant pot. Webbing top band, lined in a water-resistant material and with an embroidered 'British Colour Standard' label. Wipe clean, made in India.

UTILITY ENAMELWARES
Our beautiful new Enamelware collection is made the old fashioned way, with ceramic-style pigments fired in a kiln onto the pressed/spun metal pieces. The colourful, ceramic 'glaze' is durable and rich, designed to last for years and years. Bring colour to utility with our useful storage pots, tumblers and soap dishes for your home.
Items are gift-boxed in a neat, recyclable kraft card box. Do not use abrasive pads/cleaners. Not for use in a microwave or freezer. Domestic dishwasher safe.
Note: -These are handmade items, so slight variations can occur. When the colour pigment is fired, sometimes tiny black dots can appear on the item surface; these dots are from the metal wires used to hang the items in the kiln whilst being fired, oxidising.
