General Information What to Wear
Wedding and Reception For the wedding, sundresses, skirts, light slacks or linen pants, cotton shirts, and sandals are all appropriate. The location of the wedding, the gazebo, has a nice tile floor and sidewalks leading to it, so ladies can wear heels and not worry about walking in sand. In General at Playa del Carmen Playa del Carmen maintains warm summery weather, even into late November, so you can wear any kind of lightweight clothing: bathing suits, camis, and skirts or shorts for ladies, shorts and tshirts or polos for guys. Keep in mind that both resorts have certain restaurants where more formal clothes are required to dine at dinner: women can wear 80° 70° skirts or dresses and men are required to wear slacks and closed toe shoes.
If you plan on going on any excursions into the jungle, including exploring ancient ruins, it is recommended to wear sneakers as the ground in the Yucatan Peninsula is naturally very uneven and rocky.
