I’m not the only player on the Tipperary panel currently out of work. But there is an opportunity here to start a new business with Kevin Coppinger. “It means that I can stay at home and continue to hurl for my club Thurles Sarsfields and Tipperary.”

Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C. Congratulations & well done to Michael Mockler, Joe Moloney, Jim Ryan & Aisling Hoey who all represented the Club at the County Senior & Masters Indoor Championships on Friday 8th April in Nenagh Indoor Stadium. Between our 4 athletes they won 5 gold medals, 3 silver medals & 2 bronze medals. In the Master Men’s O/40 category Michael won gold in the Shot Putt (9.55m), silver in the Long Jump (3.83m) & bronze in the High Jump (1.51m) while Jim won gold in the 60m & Long Jump (4.41m) & silver in the Shot Putt (7.60m). In the Master Men’s O/60 Shot Putt, Joe Moloney won gold with a throw of 8.73m while in the Master Women’s O/40 competitions, Aisling won gold in the 800m, silver in the 60m & bronze in the Shot Putt (5.25m). Good luck to our 4 athletes who will now go on to represent their Club & County at the Munster Championships in CIT on Saturday 30th April. Well done also to another of our Senior athletes, Laurenz Egan who ran the Connemara Half Marathon on Sunday 10th April. Laurenz finished the 13.1miles course in just over 1 hour fifty seven seconds. The Moyne, Moycarkey, Slieveardagh Track & Field Challenge took place on Sunday 10th April. The Club had a fantastic turnout of around 50 athletes from age 3 to 15 years who enjoyed a great afternoon of fun & athletics beneath a Summer sky. The Club finished in 2nd place with Moyne in 1st place & Slieveardagh in 3rd place. Our thanks to Moyne A.C. who hosted the event & provided a very well run competition with top class refreshments by the Moyne ladies afterwards. Our thanks also to our fellow athletes from Slieveardagh A.C. & Moyne A.C. for providing some great competition on the day. The Club will host the County Senior Road Championships at 12 noon this Sunday 17th April in Two Mile Borris. Your support would be appreciated around the course which will run

from Two Mile Borris village via Coolcroo, Old Dublin Road, Turnpike & back to the village again. The races on the day are a 10km race for the Senior Men & a 5km race for the Senior Women. Good luck to all our athletes who will be taking part on the day. A Church Gate Collection for Moycarkey Borris Community Games will be held this weekend on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th April at all masses at the 3 parish churches. Your support would be gratefully appreciated. Training for the Outdoor Season continues every Monday evening from 7.45pm to 8.45pm & every Thursday evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm in Templemore Track. Cost is €2.00 per athlete. New members & help are always welcome.
