The challenge was to design a fictional building in the Quarter district just east of Edmonton’s downtown core. The building included a “bank of the future” concept and an adjacent community space for public use. Entries were judged based on concept, aesthetics, functionality, sustainability and corporate identity.

EV

PE

The submissions went through two rounds of judging; in the final round, we were tasked with providing design boards that included images depicting our designs and make PowerPoint presentations to 10 “‘industry expert” judges.

Our class was tasked with creating a 3D model from a pre-existing AutoCAD® file. We were instructed to concentrate on expressing all architectural details of the building, including sidewalks, curbs and parking. This project was delivered using SketchUp®, iRender®, and Photoshop®. I took it upon myself to then import the model into Lumion®, and re-render the model with additional entourage.
