About the course As well as acquiring operational knowledge and skills, you’ll have the opportunity to put theory into practice while developing in depth knowledge and understanding in particular areas. How you’ll learn The course offers an exciting mix of case study discussions, demonstrations, guest speakers, lectures and tutorials, professional visits, seminars, small group exercises, videos and practical experience in our commercial facilities. You’ll be assessed through a combination of work including written assignments and practical assessments, group or individual oral presentations and group or individual work on our virtual learning environment.

Assessment Assessments have been designed in consultation with industry professionals to challenge and develop your practical and theoretical skills.

Your career Students who undertake this course will be able to pursue a range of exciting careers within this sector. A significant number of our students have gone on to management positions in the industry, ranging from private four-star properties to a five-star hotel resort. Some have become entrepreneurs and established their own thriving businesses. This course also provides a foundation for further study at final year undergraduate level in hospitality or similar areas of study such as business studies, leisure or tourism.
