From page 1 celebrated will be the Minerva Youth Program: 60 years! New floats for this year ’s parade will include Greg Fresca’s barbershop float, the East Coast Chevette Entourage & Chatham Gang Unicyclists, and the Lake Champlain Search & Rescue Unit with a presentation later at the beach. Additionally, Santa Claus will be there along with the Essex County Toys for Kids float. Live music played by live musicians is also scheduled to take place on one of the floats. The Minerva PTSO has put much work into organizing the parade, and it will chip in with its own scoreboard fundraising float. Leading the parade will be Sharon Aleksejczyk as Minerva Citizen of the Year. Come on out for this great event, which is topped off by the great community potluck, to take place at 6 p.m. at the Donnelly Beach pavilion.

INDIAN LAKE — All summer long Thursday nights are Arts Center nights at the Indian Lake Theater. The community partners over at The Indian Lake Theater are showing their support for the Arts Center by offering a Arts Center members special! Arts Center members will receive a free small popcorn on Thursday nights when they show their membership card.So go out to the theater on Thursday and support an important part of our growing cultural landscape. This week’s feature is Up. Go to www.indianlaketheater.org for the summer movie schedule. Don’t have a membership card? Stop by the Arts Center to pick one up or call 3527715 to have it sent.
