Hydraulic Lift Almost any auto repair shop has a hydraulic lift. They are used for lifting cars to loading platforms at the rear end of cargo trucks or in mobile platforms used by city maintenance workers to repair street lights or to saw off tall tree branches. EDITORIAL

LEGOs and physics: a challenge to science. Isaac Newton summed scientist movement behavior on three physical laws forming the basis of mechanics. Scientists refer to mechanics, a branch of physics which involves the forces, to understand how the movement. Newton discovered that friction is a force of resistance that affects movement. Teach these laws of physics and mechanics building a car and an inclined ramp LEGO for use in an experiment that demonstrates how to add or remove friction changes the speed of the car and how much it moves.

A branch of physics which involves the forces. Newton was the first to show that the natural laws that govern the motion on Earth and those that govern the motion of celestial bodies are the same.

Following the indications step to step and using the tools correctly, we have a successful project.


Backhoe: Most excavators work with hydraulic mechanism. It comprises a motor pump (which produces the operating power) and hoses that transfer the power, along with operating cylinders that amplify the force. The backhoe driver controls the movement direction of the piston and the movement of the shovel arm by way of

control valves. The hydraulic fluid used is special oil that coats the mechanism and only freezes at very low temperatures. In our model, the two rear cylinders works as pump. The force for the pump is produced at the hand levers. They are also used to control the direction of movement of the pistons in the cylinders.

If a U-tube is filled with water and pistons are placed at each end, pressure exerted against the left .. piston will be transmitted throughout the liquid and against the bottom of the right piston. (The pistons are simply "plugs" that can slide freely but snugly inside the tube.) The pressure that the left piston exerts against the water will be exactly equal to the pressure the water exerts against the right piston. Suppose the tube on the right side is made wider and a piston of a larger area is used; for example, the piston on the right has 50 times the area of the piston on the left. If a 1 N load is placed on the left piston, an additional pressure (nearly 1 N/cm2) due to the weight of the load is transmitted throughout the liquid and up against the larger piston.

The difference between force and pressure is important: the additional pressure is exerted against every square centimeter of the larger piston. Since there is 50 times the area, 50 times as much force is exerted on the larger piston. Thus, the larger piston will support a 50 N load - fifty times the load on the smaller piston. The Vehicle with Air Suspension: This vehicle has pneumatic shocks. Its load bed swings on two air- filled hydraulic cylinders connected to the chassis. Since air can be compressed, the pistons in the cylinders can absorb shocks while driving. Buses and trucks also have pneumatic shocks. Passenger vehicles generally have coil springing of leaf springs made as steel. To prevent them from spinning up and down for too long, the springing

movements are shortened with special vibration absorbers (shock absorbers). Try driving the vehicle loaded with a 1- liter cartoon of juice or milk over the edge of a wooden board and watch the suspension movement. Just be sure to first secure the load from slipping!

Its principle consists in replacing the traditional mechanical springs for two fluids: a liquid (mineral oil) and a gas (nitrogen), more specifically its name would hydro pneumatic suspension. The element which is actually replaces the gas spring that provides elasticity to the suspension, which pressure varies with the load. Overview of the suspension In a vehicle with air suspension, each wheel is linked to the body by an arm of independent wheel suspension. The hydraulic suspension allows a lot of flexibility and a constant height with whatever the load: the height corrector varies the volume of liquid in order to maintain constant vehicle height above ground where a change of cargo.

The hydraulic suspension basically what it does is raise and lower the car in a remarkable way, creating an effect jump either side, front or rear. Usually performed in tuning, muscle, and vehicles taken to the extreme as it involves a certain appeal in this case tuning. Other style hydraulic suspension very showy in action are the Lowriders, they are as close as possible down to the ground, and even you get to do with them jumping skills. Hydraulic lift: Almost any auto shop has a hydraulic lift. They are used for lifting cars to a convenient height in order to work on them. In this type of machine, hydraulic fluid is transmitted throughout the machine to various hydraulic motors and hydraulic cylinders and which becomes pressurised according to the resistance present. The fluid is controlled directly or automatically by control valves and distributed through hoses and tubes. The popularity of hydraulic machinery is due to the very large amount of power that can be transferred through small tubes and flexible hoses, and the high power density and wide array of actuators that can make use of this power. Hydraulic machinery is operated by the use of hydraulics, where a liquid is the powering medium.

The hydraulic lifts use incompressible fluid to send out the force which permits a small amount of pressure applied over a long distance to have the same effect as a great amount of force over a small distance.
