Scholarships and Awards Delta State recognizes students through its scholarship and awards program. A scholarship application is required; the priority deadline for submission is December 15 and the secondary deadline is March 1. Scholarships and awards are available for undergraduate study up to the completion of 124 earned hours, summer terms are excluded. Note that annual renewal conditions must be met to maintain all scholarships and awards. First-time freshmen

First-time freshmen who are Mississippi residents may be eligible for the opportunity award or achievement scholarship based on high school cumulative grade point average (CGPA), ACT/ SAT score (from a national test prior to enrollment) and financial need. These scholarships and awards, along with state aid, may cover 30–100% of tuition. The minimum requirement for an opportunity award is an 18 ACT and 3.0 CGPA. The minimum requirement for an achievement scholarship is a 25 ACT with a 2.50 CGPA. Out-of-state residents

Out-of-state residents may be eligible for a scholarship to cover 100% of out-of-state fees. First-time freshmen must score a minimum 18 ACT composite or 860 SAT, writing not included, and have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or better. In addition, freshmen may also be eligible for a recognition award ranging from $500–1,000 per year based on ACT/SAT score and CGPA. valedictorian/salutatorian

These scholarships are awarded for one year of study immediately following high school graduation; the amounts are $1,000 and $500 respectively. National Merit finalist and semi-finalist

These scholarships may be awarded in addition to the opportunity award or achievement scholarship; the total award for these four year scholarships are $20,000 and $15,000 respectively.
