I am proud to say as we embark on another year we can look back on 2012 and see LSU Delta Chi grow as a chapter and as individual brothers. We had a successful year, initiating fourteen New Associate Members who have already stepped up into leadership positions. We have seen our chapter become more involved with the community and the Greek community, but more importantly, with our own Delta Chi Alumni. We had a successful Alumni reunion with the help of Scott King. A special thanks is to be given to our very own James Keck. As our outgoing “A”, he has done an exceptional job in leading our chapter to new heights. He has become one of the main figures for our chapter that new guys can look up to and learn how to manage themselves as fraternity gentlemen. As we look toward a new year for ourselves and Delta Chi, we still have goals we strive to achieve. We look forward to continuing to grow as a chapter and as gentlemen. Our new executive board is excited and motivated to face any tasks that may come before us. Our main goals we have set for spring semester are: academic achievement, becoming more involved with alumni, and brotherhood. ITB, Corey Spraberry, “A”

New “BB” Elected (pictured above) Calder Lynch.

On Monday, January 28, 2013, the LSU Chapter voted unanimously to replace outgoing “BB” Daniel D. Henry, Jr. with Calder Lynch, a 2008 graduate of Louisiana State University and lifelong brother of Delta Chi. The chapter would like to thank Henry, Jr. for his outstanding and unwavering support as “BB” over the past years, and welcomes Lynch as the chapter focuses on continuing its growth and successes at LSU. “Becoming a Delta Chi is a lifelong commitment, and I want to thank the chapter for allowing me the opportunity to continue serving my fraternity as the new ‘BB’ at LSU. I also want to thank and commend outgoing ‘BB’ Daniel Henry for his years of service and sacrifice to our chapter. I look forward to working with the active members, new members and alumni as we continue to build and strengthen Delta Chi's legacy at LSU.” Calder is current Policy Advisor to Secretary Bruce Greenstein at the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. He has spent over four years as part of the executive management team at the Department, where he has developed expertise in state health policy, with emphasis on Medicaid delivery and financing reform. His primary responsibilities include writing, strategic communication, policy development, legislative affairs, policy analysis, and project management. A native of Covington, he graduated from Covington High School in 2004. Calder earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2008. At LSU, he was a member of Student Government, LSU Ambassadors and the Delta Chi Fraternity. As a brother of the Delta Chi Fraternity, Calder served his chapter as "E" (Alumni Secretary), Philanthropy Chair, and Associate Member Counselor (AMC). The role of the "BB" of a Delta Chi chapter or colony is one of mentoring, advising, fellowship and liaison between student members and alumni. This position is required by Delta Chi Law to be a two-year term to be served by a Delta Chi alumnus and is elected on non-Convention years.

Meet the Pi Class Our fall recruitment was very successful, and due to the efforts of Recruitment Chair Aric Greene and the chapter as a whole, we initiated fourteen young men into the Bond this fall semester. Nearly doubling the chapter in size, we expect to continue to grow and develop the chapter and its presence here at LSU.
