RECAP: FOUNDERS’ DAY 2013
The LSU Chapter, in conjunction with Kappa Delta sorority, won 2nd place overall in the Homecoming lawn decoration contest.
The LSU Chapter celebrated the 123rd anniversary of the founding of our Fraternity with a weekend of events from Friday, October 11 to Sunday, October 13. The Chapter hosted a successful private party at The Chimes for alumni and actives. Additionally, we held a special tailgate on Saturday for the LSU vs. Florida game, which included the participation of the University of Florida Chapter. The weekend culminated on Sunday with the initiation of the Sigma pledge class and the alumni ceremony. The Chapter would like to thank all alumni who participated over the weekend.
Alumnus Phillip Allen (’87) has moved back to Baton Rouge to take a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the LSU Department of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery). Alumnus Grant Herrin (’07) was admitted to the Louisiana Bar after successfully passing the Louisiana Bar Exam. Alumnus

AND CHAPTER ACHIEVEMENTS The LSU Chapter achieved the highest level in the Greek Assessment Program, an annual evaluation by the Office of Greek Life, for 2013: gold.
Alumnus Manimogan Madiyazhagan (’12) accepted a position with Nestle Malaysia as a Packaging Technologist. Active Robert Helm was selected to serve on the Greek Board of Directors Greek Week committee, and was initiated into the Order of Omega, a Greek leadership honor society.
