HackLab: Demo edition Computer hacking is the practice of influencing computer hardware and software to accomplish a goal outside of its original purpose. A computer hacker is a person who identifies weaknesses and exploits them. Hacking is considered a complex activity and during this course we will examine in detail how a hacker works and explore the hacking world.
Course objectives This two-day edition of the HackLab course provides participants with insight into how an ethical hacker performs a vulnerability assessment. We will address web applications testing, mobile applications, mobile devices, wireless security, incident response techniques and network based infrastructure.
Programme Day 1: Introduction to penetration testing
The course takes the participants through the different stages of our proven methodology of information gathering, target selection, vulnerability identification and exploitation. Besides the methodology we will also discuss the different leading practises such as OWASP and go into the different tools for vulnerability testing.
Day 2: Penetration testing and incident response capabilities
Demo edition This course is the two-day demo edition of the regular HackLab hands-on course.
