Specialty Sports Camps First Serve Half Day Tennis Plus Camp

Archery Camp

This camp is a smash hit with tennis players of all skill levels. Campers will get 10 hours on-court tennis instruction per week. Campers also enjoy energetic off-court activities such as swimming, basketball, volleyball and much more. Camp will be held at Mitchell Park and will also utilize indoor space at the Sachs Recreation Center. Instructor to camp ratio is 1:8.

Are you interested in learning a fun challenging and timeless sport that is seen in books, movies, and the Olympics? Then, come join us in this camp to learn and master the sport of archery in a safe environment. Participants will learn an excellent, nationally recognized beginner’s 9-step to the 10 ring progression which was created by the Coaches Development Committee of the National Archery Association. Recurve bows, blunt tipped arrows and targets will be provided during camp. Bring a friend and come join us for this exciting summer camp! Each participant should bring a water bottle.

Join us in playing two sports know for speed and excitement! Boys and girls will learn age appropriate drills in a fun environment. Passing, shooting and other offensive and defensive techniques that are similar in both lacrosse and soccer will be covered. Skills that are unique to each sport such as dribbling, scooping and cradling will also be taught. Through daily drills and scrimmages, players will improve individual and team play, develop stamina and maintain fitness. Each child should bring a mouth guard, shin guards and a water bottle. Baseball & Softball Skills Camp This camp will include instruction in skill development, fundamentals and games. Drills for defense, hitting, base running and throwing will be taught. Outfield, infield, pitching and catching segments will all be included. Games will be played every day. Camp will be broken down by age groups. Badminton & Pickleball Skills Camp Badminton is widely considered to be the fastest racket sport and pickleball is the fastest growing racket sport. Youngsters will be introduced to stroke fundamentals such as serving, receiving, smashing, volleying and dropping. Fun and challenging drills and recreational matches will help young players develop the hand-eye coordination, motor skills and mental abilities needed for successful games.
