Surface treatment: The standard surface is finished in either a white powder coat (RAL 9010) or anodized (grey/15 mµ). The painting and anodizing is always done in accordance with the relevant European legislation. As an optional extra, the pole is available in all other RAL colours too.

Flag attachment: Ø 36 mm pole At the top there is a synthetic finial head, which is equipped with a hook for attaching the flag. A plastic cam cleat, which can be attached at any chosen height of the pole, completes the system.

Optional extra: This pole is also available with a bracket pole system, either with a clamp (for interior use only) or with a counterweight (exterior use) at the bottom.

Ø 48 mm and Ø 60 mm poles At the top there is a synthetic finial head to bring in the hoisting halyard. Both the halyard and the synthetic hooks are supplied, as standard, as is a plastic cam cleat, which can be attached at any chosen height of the pole.

Optional extra: • This pole is also available with two clamps between which the flag is clasped (to prevent theft of the flag). • The Ø 60 mm pole is also available with a bracket pole system plus matching counterweight.

Flag attachment: System with double bracket poles: at top and bottom, the standard bracket pole size is 1.2 m (also available with a 0.75 or 1 m bracket pole). The bracket pole is attached in a channel that can slide over the pole. The top of the guide channel jams itself in the pole when it is positioned up against the head, at the top of the pole. The two channels are linked to each other by a polyamide halyard (no steel cable here). The intermediate distance of the channels is variable by adjusting the length of the halyard, which can be done by relocating the synthetic halyard clamps. The innovative design concept ensures that the flag will not be prematurely unfurled by the wind.

The finial: The finial is equipped with a guide pulley, which has been specially designed so that the halyard cannot shoot out of the pulley. The finial can rotate freely through 360° about a synthetic bearing. As the finial and upper channel can hook into each other, the entire system can turn with the wind. By hooking the guide channel into the finial, it cannot be cut off when the bracket poles turn round

Hoisting and lowering the flag: The counterweight is integrated into the pole. It pulls both the bracket poles and the flag up the pole. A simple pull of the bottom bracket pole with a telescopic stick is enough to strike the flag. Once the bracket poles are at the bottom of the pole, the flag can be changed for another one.

Sectional pole: cylindrical pole Ø 60 mm Form: The profile has no welded seams and has a diameter of 60 mm with a continuous wall thickness of 3 mm. The pole is composed of two parts of equal length. When setting up the pole, a coupling piece ensures the two parts are assembled with a minimal clearance between coupling piece and pole. The pole length is 6 or 7 meters.

Flag attachment: At the top there is a synthetic finial head to which the hoisting halyard is attached. Both the halyard and the synthetic hooks are supplied, as standard, as is a plastic cam cleat, which can be attached at any chosen height of the pole.

Sectional pole: tapered pole Ø 114 - 76 mm Form: The profile has no welded seams and has a diameter of 114 mm with a continuous wall thickness of 2.5 mm. At the end of the bottom part, the pole tapers to a diameter of 70 mm; the top piece fits over this tapered piece. This fit has a minimal ‘snug’ clearance so that there is no need to screw both parts down. Pole length: 8, 9 or 10 meters.

Anti-theft door: The door is cut from a conical tube. It is equipped with two RVS triangular bolts that are countersunk by means of thermal drilling (aka flow drilling). The strength of the pole is safeguarded by attaching an internal tube at the door opening’s height by means of expansion. The internal tube has not been glued or welded. It prevents the door from falling into the pole when the screw is uncoupled.

Flag attachment: The halyard and cam cleat are inside the pole. The halyard leaves the pole through the pole’s synthetic finial head, which is equipped with a synthetic guide pulley with screening cap that keeps the halyard in the pulley. The guide pulley can be disassembled without any screws or other attachment material. To complete the system, a synthetic counterweight makes sure the flag stays flush up against the pole.

Optional extras: • A counterweight with a noise muffling material ensures a near-silent system.

Advantages: • Hardly any risk of damage after a collision. • Ideal for temporary installation of poles: the sleeve can be closed off with a protective cap if and when the pole is removed.

Installation: 1. Cast the sleeve entirely in concrete, with the cap just at the surface. 2. The pole extends 75 cm down into the ground.

Material: The sleeve is assembled from aluminium tubes extruded from primary aluminium according to AlMgSi 0.5, with two synthetic wedges attached. At the top there is a synthetic centring wedge that can be adjusted to match the diameters of the pole. Included in the ground sleeve kit is a capping piece to close off the opening if and when the pole is removed. All the materials that are used are non-corroding.

Form: The flagpole is composed of four sections of 1.5 meters each. The profiles have no welded seams and have diameters of 36 to 49.5 mm with a continuous wall thickness. The special fastening system is inside the pole and is, under normal circumstances, perfectly protected against theft. Bushing of the profiles allows each section of the pole to slide up and down smoothly and completely. The ‘snug’ clearance between the profiles is avoided by decorative rings that are mounted at the end of th lower three sections.

Bracket pole system for cylindrical or conical poles - non hoistable Objective:

The purpose of this system is to ensure the flag is always unfurled, so that it is also visible when there is no wind.

Material:

• Bracket pole head:

A stainless steel tube is incorporated into the finial. A synthetic bearing is slid over this tube so that it is completely inside the pole and, as such, barely visible. The synthetic bearing and the pole are anchored to one another. At the bottom, the tube is equipped with a ring that prevents the head from being pulled out of the pole. The flagpole head is rotating; it can freely rotate through 360°. An aluminium tube with a diameter of 36 mm is slid inside the head. The maximum length is 150 cm. The flag is then, in turn, slid over this tube.

• Counterweight:

A counterweight at the bottom ensures that the flag is fully stretched.

• Retainer rings

For long flags, retainer rings are recommended. Such rings will ensure that the flag will not be prematurely unfurled by the wind (when the counterweight is no longer pulled up). These rings can be easily opened and closed.

Applicable for:

The system is available for cylindrical poles with diameters of 36mm, 60mm or 70 mm or for conical and divisible poles. To ensure easy changing of the flags, we recommend: • a GK ground sleeve or a GL ground spigot for poles up to 6 meters • a swing base for poles of 7 meters or higher.

LIGHTING LIGHTING COLUMNS COLUMNS Material: The lighting columns are assembled from profiles extruded from primary aluminium according to a AIMgSi 0.5 - 60T63 alloy, without any impurities. The top quality of Alluround aluminium light columns is the result of many years’ experience, combined with continual research and product development. Each and every Alluround column is full of practical and economical design details. From the state-of-the-art, integral assembly rail and reinforced inner tube to the most durable of materials. The low weight of the aluminium tubes ensures simple self-assembly and installation.

Customer-oriented solutions: In addition to the standard offering of Alluround lighting columns, Declercq NV also delivers customized solutions. The position of the service door, for example, or the length of the jibs can be adjusted to meet the customer’s specific needs.

Form: The columns are cylindrical, conical or tapered.

Service door: The service door is placed at a height of 600 mm above ground level. It is cut from the column itself and is provided with two mounting lips that are welded to the door at the back. Opening and closing the door is possible by tightening and loosening two stainless steel three-corner bolts that are countersunk in the door. An internal door opening strengthening tube with the same wall thickness as the column is fitted to ensure the door area is sufficiently strengthened. This tube will be fitted by means of expansion and is by no means glued or welded. The internal tube is also fitted with an integrated universal mounting rail, equipped with a couple of unloseable sliding nuts and an earthing bolt. At the door opening sides, the internal tube has longitudinal stiffening ribs that give the column its requisite stiffness.

The root section of the column is protected with a grey copolymer, which is bonded to the outer and inner surfaces of the column root section. The cable inlet duct and the column’s root section are fitted with synthetic rings to prevent cable chaffing.

Strength: The column’s strength is calculated according to the BN40 3, 2003 standard. The bigger the diameter is at the base, the thicker the wall needs to be: Ø 114 – wall thickness 2.5 mm Ø 120, 135, 145 and 165 – wall thickness 3 mm Ø 177, 190 and 200 - wall thickness 4 mm Ø 202 and 222 – wall thickness 5 mm

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE Introduction 1. In these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the term “the vendor” will be used for DECLERCQ NV and “the buyer” will be used for whosoever has requested a quotation from DECLERCQ NV or placed an order. 2. If one or more provisions of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale are found to be invalid or are nullified, the remaining provisions of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale shall remain in full force. 3. By placing an order with Declercq or by agreeing to one of our outgoing quotations, the buyer is held to have agreed to the present General Terms and Conditions of Sales, which means he will thereby waive his own purchase and sales conditions. 4. The issuance of a commercial instrument and/or the acceptance of bills of exchange or any other negotiable instruments does not imply any substitution of one debt for another and is in no way at variance with the above-mentioned conditions. Quotation/assignment 5. Special offers, tenders, bids and quotations are all free of engagement and are not binding upon the vendor. Assignments and/or orders shall only be binding on the vendor subject to the vendor’s written confirmation. 6. Unless stated otherwise in the quotation itself, it is not valid for longer than 15 days. Price 7. The prices used by the vendor are valid ‘ex works’ or ‘ex warehouse’ and do not include packaging, transport costs, freight charges or any other costs for insurance, without discount. All our prices are exclusive of VAT. 8. The vendor reserves the right to modify his prices at any moment without prior notice to his customer. Delivery 9. Delivery dates promised by the vendor will be observed as far as is practicably possible, but will not be binding upon the vendor. The delivery time is conditional upon the buyer’s timely delivery, if required, of all data and/or auxiliary resources needed to carry out the job: the specified terms of delivery will be effective as from the date when all the required data and/ or auxiliary resources are in the vendor’s possession. The buyer may not cancel the contract or claim compensation owing to delays in delivery caused by the vendor. 10. All deliveries are made at vendor his registered office, where the buyer can have an agent act in his stead. The delivery is transacted the moment the vendor puts the goods at the buyer’s (or agent’s) disposal and the buyer (or agent) is obliged, then and there, to take delivery thereof. 11. The buyer bears all the risks of loss and/or damage to the merchandise from the time the same are at his disposal in the vendor’s warehouses, even in cases where the transport cost is for the vendor’s account. The loading and unloading will always take place at the buyer’s risk and according to his specific instructions, even if the vendor’s staff are responsible for the un(loading) thereof or are supposed to help with that. 12. If it is not possible to fulfil an order in its entirety, the unfilled part will be noted for subsequent delivery. 13. If through fault or negligence on the buyer’s part, the delivery of the ordered goods is delayed, then the vendor will be entitled to charge the buyer a controlled storage cost at a rate of € 25.00 per day per m² of occupied area. Complaints 14. The buyer shall notify the vendor by registered letter of any complaints, under pain of inadmissibility, within five days after the date of either delivery or disposal (as the case may be) of the merchandise at the vendor’s warehouse. Under no circumstances will a complaint entitle the buyer to defer payment of the invoice or to modify the terms of payment.

Complaints on account of latent ‘hidden’ defects must – on pain of forfeiture – be reported to the vendor, by registered letter, within 8 days after the date on which that defect could be reasonably established and, in any case, no later than 1 month after the delivery date. The postmarked date of the registered letter is decisive. The vendor will only entertain complaints due to hidden defects insofar as the factory that produced the offending merchandise recognizes the validity of the complaint about the hidden defect. The vendor has the right to replace the merchandise without incurring any liability to pay any form of compensation. In the case of a complaint, the buyer will have to keep the offending merchandise at the vendor’s disposal and shall not alienate, repair or reprocess it without the vendor’s prior agreement. The buyer is obliged to check that the goods are in good condition before taking delivery thereof and, where appropriate, to make the necessary reservation, towards the carrier who is solely responsible for those goods. 15. Any return of the merchandise will take place at the buyer’s risk and expense. Warranty 16. The vendor will retain the right, before entering into or while executing an agreement, to request a warranty or extra warranties from the buyer. If the buyer refuses to provide such a warranty, the vendor has the right to stop the delivery and to cancel the order wholly or partly. 17. If the vendor prefers to breach the contract, a claim for damages will be required by the vendor which is capped at 30% of the value of the unexecuted part of the contract. Payment 18. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all invoices are payable to the vendor’s registered office within 30 days from the billing date. If the amount due is paid within the first 8 days, a discount of 1.5% will be granted. If it relates to the first order ever between Declercq and the customer, the entire invoice will be payable upon delivery or upon collection of the merchandise. 19. In the event of non-payment by the due date, the unpaid part of the invoice will, by right and without proof of default, give rise to an annual interest at the rate of 12%. In the case of non-payment by the due date due to negligence or ill will, the outstanding amount will – after abortive proof of default – be increased ipso jure by 10% with a minimum fixed indemnity of € 100 and a maximum of € 1,500 by way of compensation and interest, stipulated by contract, on overdue payments, even if a deferment of payment was asked for and granted. 20. Failure to pay by the due date of one invoice will result in the nullification of any deferment of payment that might have been allowed for other deliveries or performances and will make all unmatured invoices immediately due and payable. Title retention 21. The sold goods shall remain the vendor his property for as long as the buyer has not paid the price in principal, costs and interest for all merchandise supplied by the vendor. In no event shall the buyer sell, pawn or otherwise pledge as a security unpaid merchandise outside the normal world of commerce. 22. If any unpaid merchandise is sold on normal terms and conditions of sale, the buyer will solely bear or recover any thirdparty claims that arise from these sales from the vendor. Default 23. If the buyer fails to comply with the provisions of the present or any other contract, the sales thus transacted can be nullified by the Courts and without proof of default by the vendor and without the right to any claim for damages by the buyer. An expression of intent (e.g. by letter) by the vendor will be sufficient in such cases. In case of annulment, a claim for damages will be required by the vendor; this is capped at 30% of the value of the unexecuted part of the contract. Applicable law and competent court 24. Parties hereby agree that this contract shall be governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute regarding the establishment, interpretation and/or execution of the present agreement, the courts of the judicial district of Ypres shall have sole jurisdiction unless the vendor prefers to refer the case to the court of the buyer’s domicile.
