We pray that you are being filled with Love, Peace and Joy.
Many are the things that want to steal your love, peace, and joy. Our prayer for you is that you would be encouraged and not discouraged! Hebrew 10:25b ... but exhorting one another and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. We exhort you therefore in the name of Jesus. Be of good cheer for the Lord of Host is still the God of Love, the Prince of Peace, and He still has for you Joy unspeakable and full of glory! He has called you overcomers, more than conquerors, and victors. You do not get those names without facing a few giants and some uncertain times. Our God has promised to see us through it all. Love, peace, and joy are our constant companions. We will press through these days emerging with testimonies of what great things God has done for us!
Consider, how you might be able to encourage others in these days.
Help them move from helpless to hopeful and from frantic to fearless. Let them know in whom you believe! Amen!
What About Your Peace? Please pray for these important ministry needs:
New people groups and churches supportive of our ministry. South America & Central America & Philippine trips. Fervent hearts to intercede for our country and leaders. New opportunities to reach the lost and set the captives free.
Is peace flowing through you like a river? Perhaps in your life it is more like you are waving a white flag hoping against all odds that total surrender will yield some form of mercy! Peace is a powerful substance of faith and authority given to us by Christ Jesus to use as we live in Him. Let me explain as we look at the Word. This may help you with your peace! Mark 4:37-41 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? Jesus took authority and commanded peace in this passage and connected it with faith! Look in Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Is this conflicting? No, Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Jesus is able to command or withhold peace, and so are you! Luke 10:5-6 And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. Jesus has power over the presence or absence of peace, and He has given you that same power. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
PRAISE GOD! Ephesians 2:14 For he (Jesus) is our peace… May we manifest peace in the earth and in our lives that others will know Christ is in us 4
Please visit our website: www.decision1.org The Blessing of Life - Healing Do you have what the world is looking for?
Peace is an attribute that is uncommon. The world is looking for and will find you if you possess this fruit of the Spirit. Americans have become very confident that if we need it, we can buy it. Usually we expect our needs to be met instantly. Fast food, fast cars, instant credit, instant pudding, yo God! Fruit is developed through a long process. First, the seed, then the tree, and then the ripe fruit will appear. In these days of great testing many are finding that they are coming up short when troubles come. What many have trusted in – money, things, people, religion – has disappointed them. People are frustrated and afraid of what might be coming on this earth. Depression is running rampant for those who have not put their trust in God. Why are you downcast, O my soul? Trust in God (Psalm 42:11). Layoffs in the workplace are becoming more common. Finding a new job is now a difficult task. Where do we go when nothing is working? According to Dottie Rambo in her song of old, you go to the Rock. Where do I go when there’s nobody else to turn to? Who do I talk to when nobody wants to listen? Who do I lean on when there’s no foundation stable? Where do I go when the storms of life are threatening? Who do I turn to when the winds of sorrow blow? Is there a refuge in the time of tribulation? I go to the rock of my salvation. I go to the stone that the builders rejected. I run to the mountain and the mountain stands by me. When the earth all around me is sinking sand, on Christ the solid rock I stand. When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to the Rock. Where do I find peace, that peace that passes all understanding? God will keep you in perfect peace if your mind is stayed on Him (Is. 26:3). He is our peace, and He is the God of the Bible. Without reading His Word, you will not become like Him. That fruit you are looking for will not grow without the Son of God. You can envy others who walk in peace, but you cannot steal it from them, and you cannot buy it for any price. His peace that passes all understanding will guard your heart and your mind (Phil.4:3). Why does your heart and mind need to be guarded? Your mind is the battleground where the enemy shoots his arrows. He sends messages to keep you from knowing who you are, whose you are, and what your purpose is in this life. You have the choice to download his message into your heart, or dismiss it and believe God’s message. You are advised in the Bible to guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life (Prov. 4:23). Life is snuffed out, if you believe the evil report from the devil. He steals your peace when you believe his lies. On the contrary, you can think on those things that are true, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy (Phil. 4:8). The Good Shepherd came that you might have abundant life (John 10:10). You have to choose life, so that you and your children will live (Deut. 30:19).
O ne of the most perplexing issues the American church has with the Word of God and ministries who teach about
healing is the question, “Why does God not heal people here like He does in foreign countries?” The answer may surprise you, but should not! The answer is, “Americans and other prosperous nations have too many options!” That is right. We do not need God to heal us. We have a medical insurance card, and we are close to making our deductible for this year! Yes, that is pathetic, but it is the truth! In most of the third world countries where we do mission outreaches, people need healing and have no options at all. When they hear the wonderful news that by faith they can be born again, they want to be saved! When they hear the great news that God can and will heal their ailing bodies, they embrace with great faith God’s offer of healing. They do so with little question or doubt, therefore, they receive their healing. Allow me to point out a key statement Jesus made in Matthew, Mark and Luke. All three books include in their accounts this teaching of Jesus. Matthew 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. (Also see: Mark 10:25 & Luke 18:25) I want to back track a few verses in order to make this a bit more clear. Matthew 19:13-26 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. 15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. (KJV)
I n stark contrast to the rest of the world most of us, even low income in the USA, are much like the young man of
this story. He is one of very few who ask Jesus for something and went away without the victory. I call you to consider being like the little children rather than the rich young ruler. 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Were healed! Jesus has already paid for your healing. Why would we need him as Savior and not as Healer? Is something in the way of your child-like faith in God? God has provided you with the blessing of life and health! Consider Matthew 21:21, then move that mountain of sickness and be healed! Blessings. Fred Hughes
How long does it take to get into peace? Only a few seconds. How long does it take to walk in peace? A lifetime of reading God’s Word, believing His promises, and walking in obedience to Him.
