Take Line For A Walk

For this project, I had made a picture in my head and knew exactly what I wanted my final project to look like. I experimented with the tools in Adobe Illustrator and created some lines that I could use for my project. I started taking some of the symbols I made and put them on my final draft document. I arranged them according to my lyrics and edited them to all flow together.

1

Expanded Squares

This project was using positive and negative space. For this project, I tried to use a variety of tools to make each one unique. I made a lot of them using the pencil tool because I like the organic look of the line. The ones that I used the pen tool for, I made them as detailed as possible so that when they are multiplied, it would look complex.

2

Tessellations

When I started this project, I came up with some patterns I wanted to use in my work. The main idea of this projet is to use positive and negative space to make the art. I made a variety of different designs so I could use the best in my final project. I tried to make them simple so that when they get multiplied, they won’t look to busy.

3

Mandalas

For the mandalas, I tried to use a variety of tools to make each one unique. I made a lot of them by using the pen tool for a clean line. I also tried using a variety of different shapes. During this project, I learned how to use color. I made all of my mandalas different to try new techniques.

Character

Before making my character, I did research online for some ideas. I decided on the ice cream because I could practice using shadows. For the background, I tried to make a theme of a carnival. This project was also about use of color.

5

Logo

Logos give companies different ways to express their buisness. By creating a logo of our own, it gave us the opportunity to create something to represent us. I made various logos but this was the best. It was clean and simple, but by using the colors, it made it stand out.

6

BH Centennial

For this project, I tried using a lot of techniques to make I look like a postcard. I used croppping and textures to create the look. I combined elements to make it look like one picture.

7

Little World

This quick project was an easy way to explore things on photoshop we haven’t used. I gave me a diffeerent perspective on how you could change things by using photoshop. This made me find new tools I haven’t used before.

8

Self Portrait

This project was very tedious, but the ending result was good. We got to look at ourselves in a different way. We took the colors on the photo and made it into a painting. This also was a project were new tools in Photoshop were used.
