Name: Laura Whitmore Born: 4 May 1985 From: County Wicklow, Ireland Education: Loreto Bray Secondary School, then onto study journalism at Dublin City University, with a semester abroad at Boston University in the USA. In her words: “Yer wan aff the telly”, according to her Twitter bio. Big break: In 2008, Laura won MTV Networks Europe’s Pick Me TV competition and became the face of MTV News in Europe. Along the way: She’s designed her own clothing range for A Wear, hosted lots of red carpet coverage from the MTV Movie Awards to the BAFTAs, and interviewed pretty much every big name out there.
