Durante su discurso por el Bicentenario de Independencia, el presidente Alejandro Giammattei hizo un llamado a la unidad, pues solo así podránvencerse los diferentes obstáculos, tanto de la pandemia como de la nación en general. “Mi llamado en esta fecha histórica es a la unidad, para dar paso al compromiso de reconstruir a nuestro país, desde lo más profundo de nuestras raíces”, expresó el Presidente desde el Palacio Nacional de la
Cultura. Además, enfatizó que la unidad comienza por “ entender nuestras diferencias, por tener empatía frente a las necesidades profundas de nuestro pueblo y por aceptar la riqueza pluricultural que cobija este pequeño territorio que llamamos patria”. Por último, el Presidente aseguró que “somos un pueblo capaz de emprender unidos el camino hacia una nueva era de mayor esperanza y con mejores oportunidades”.
Alejandro Giammattei: “In unity” During the Bicentennial speech, Alejandro Giammattei made a call for unity. It is the only possible way to overcome the different obstacles at the pandemic and the national level. “My call on this historical date is for unity to give way to the commitment to rebuild our country, from the depths of our roots,” he said from the National Palace of Culture.
He also made an emphasis saying, unity begins by “understanding our differences. By having empathy for the deep needs of our people and by accepting the multicultural richness of this small territory we call homeland.” Finally, he assured that “we are a people capable of embarking together on the road to a new era of greater hope and better opportunities.”
