External Membership

Who can apply for DBS Library External Membership? People with genuine scholarly needs. People from the business world and the professions are also welcome to apply.

What does DBS Library External Membership entitle you to? For an annual fee of €85 or a 6 month fee of €42.50, External membership at Dublin Business School Library, entitles you to access the College’s two libraries – Aungier Street and Dame Street Libraries. As an External member of the Library, you can borrow up to 3 items at a time for a two week period from the Library’s extensive book and DVD collection with the facility to renew books once. You can also access Dawsonera (DBS Library e-book collection) on and off campus with you personal login details. On campus, you can also access selected online databases including databases such as Business Source Complete, Emerald, Academic Source Complete, Marketline, etc. (remote access is not available) The Library’s professional staff are on hand to answer any enquiries regarding access to information that you may have. Library offers extensive opening hours including evenings and weekends.

The Library Code of Conduct and Rules & Regulations apply to all users. A copy of the Code of Conduct and a Guide to the Rules & Regulations is available in the Library or upon request. The cost of membership (€85 for yearly membership and €42.50 for 6 month membership) must be paid in full before users can avail of any Library services. A renewal fee of €60 for yearly membership and €30 for 6 month membership must be paid in order to continue to avail of External membership. These fees are non-refundable.
