OUR PGS SEPP 2018-2021 This Salesian Educative Pastoral Plan (SEPP) is the planning mentality made concrete. It guides the unfolding of our mission to the young in our Vice-Province through various works. Similarly, it is a guide to the process of growth of our provincial community and our various Educative Pastoral Communities (EPCs) in our common effort to incarnate the Salesian charism and mission in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. This SEPP, more than a plan, is primarily a community process of minds and heart which aims avoid scattered and sporadic activities. Its purpose is to generate a confluence of criteria, objectives and common guidelines. Consequently, it becomes a practical manual offering direction and continuity in our ministry and ensures that all the activities and initiatives in our Vice-Province and in our local settings are based on a shared mindset and have clear criteria and objectives as well as unified directions. It is also the basis of our collaborative ministry as Salesian community as well as with our lay mission partners. This SEPP makes collaborative ministry among Salesians as well as among Salesians and lay mission partners possible. This is a tool that could create and strengthen our awareness of our common mission so as to foster a deeper understanding of our educational and pastoral activities that need to be shared and constantly evaluated. The core of this SEPP is the young person. The processes, interventions and resources are intertwined and organised in view of the gradual and holistic development of the young. More than just a text, the SEPP is a dynamic and holistic process that unfolds in four fundamental aspects which are mutually linked and complementary to each other. These four „dimensionsâ€&#x; are 3

frame of reference in accompanying young people in their growth as human beings in the faith: education to the faith, faith and culture, group experience and vocational orientation. The implementation of this SEPP is monitored by the Province Animation Team which is composed of all commission heads. Its meetings are chaired by the Provincial and moderated by the Delegate for Youth Ministry.
