Welcome, Friend, to Young Meadows Presbyterian Church. We’re excited to have you as part of our congregation. We hope that Young Meadows is a warm and welcoming place for you and your family. We believe that God has made us for community where we receive God’s love and show it to one another.
We think you’ll find the preaching each week encouraging to your soul and challenging to your heart. We are coming into the final stretch in our three year expositional preaching series on the redemptive plan of God found throughout the entire Bible One of the beautiful things about this preaching series is the saturation of the good news of God’s plan of redemption throughout the life of our church. You will see that the children are studying the same passage as is preached on each week. Adults and teens are grounding themselves in this passage studying the “Rooted Devotional” for their daily Bible study Parents are using Old Story New by Marty Machowski to share the same passage to explain the story of God’s salvation each day with their children. A number of our our community groups discuss the application of these passages to living lives honoring and worthy of the Lord. This devotion to God’s word across the church is bearing fruit in beautiful ways from the youngest to the oldest as God moves us into deeper levels of Worship, Community, and Mission We are excited to see how God continues to unfold his plan to redeem and restore broken things both in us and through us.
Rooted We strive to be ROOTED in the Word of God and the work of Christ. Gathered We strive to be GATHERED together in true community for mutual encouragement. Scattered We strive to be SCATTERED throughout the city and the world in mission. At Young Meadows, we use trees as a visual representation and reminder of our vision and mission. Whythetrees? We desire for children to be integrated into the Young Meadow’s covenant community through a personal relationship with Jesus through partnership with parents and the church to create an atmosphere of: winsome gospel fluency, deep one-another friendship, physical and emotional safety, a sensitivity to diverse needs, and humble confidence in truth.
YMPC Nursery seeks to provide a safe, secure environment for children who participate in our programs and activities. We desire to engage children in a friendly manner and in a calm, inviting gospel-centered environment.
Parent’s should check in their child at the Nursery Hall station to receive a name tag and barcode at drop off and return for pickup with their check-in barcode. The Nursery is available on Sunday mornings during both worship services and Sunday school for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. In addition to professional nursery workers, our nursery staff is comprised of 3-4 members who volunteer their time each Sunday to assist in caring for your child. The nursery is located in Rooms 113 & 114.

As our congregation walks through the Bible over a 3 year period, our children are following a similar path. The scriptures from Genesis to Revelation are taught through a redemptive historical approach where we guide children to find Jesus in every text. Our two and three year olds use The Beginners Gospel Story Bible to give them smaller nuggets of truth over longer periods of time. Our preschool and elementary age children use The Gospel Story Bible and curriculum. We work to use a multisensory approach each week as children learn through hearing, seeing, and doing. We encourage parents to utilize the devotions, Long Story Short: Ten Minute Devotions to Draw Your Family to God and Old Story New: Ten Minute Devotions to Draw Your Family to God both by Marty Machowski, that go along with our Sunday School curriculum for their family worship time These family devotions follow the same passages taught in Sunday School as well as from the pulpit each week. Recognizing that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, we are absolutely dependent upon the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of our students and families. We minister resting in the authority and power of God’s word, looking to the finished work of Christ on the Cross and resurrection from the grave for our salvation, and to the Holy Spirit to strengthen and empower us to live as Christ’s beloved. We see our role as partnering with parents and the church as a whole in the ministry and discipleship of the youth at Young Meadows.
Young Meadows youth ministry exists to glorify God in gathering disciples to grow together in Gospel-centered community.
