Rev. L. Michael Kelley at the Organ

Before you were even formed, God knew you. While in your mother’s womb, God named you. At your birth, God’s breath filled you with life. Today we celebrate what you have become at this moment in time. And so we pray: O God, at this important moment along life's journey, we join together to consecrate it to you.

Graduates: It is by your grace, dear God, that we have come this far in our lives, and we seek your direction and presence as we move on from here. Leader:

We acknowledge all those who have been instrumental in

our graduates’ lives: their parents, teachers, coaches, friends, siblings, and others. Graduates: We would not forget these or our church, and what each has meant in our development. We acknowledge your importance, O God, in everything we do. Leader:

We also honor the parents, teachers, and friends of our graduates who are here today, and invite all to join us in our prayer.

All (except the graduates): We pray for these graduates, dear God, that you will bless them with your Spirit and keep them from all harm; give them a sense of joy and a sense of responsibility; help them to become all they can be; and, above all, let them know that they are loved by you and by us. All (including the graduates): For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. THE PRELUDE
