We dare to believe: that God is the God of all the earth, both the living and the dead; that God has revealed the divine nature in Jesus Christ, in order that we may follow his teachings, and come to eternal life; that the Spirit of God is in this place today, inviting us to a greater commitment of our lives

and bestowing the power to live in that commitment; that the Church, for all its shortcomings, is still called to love those who are loved by God and to call to fellowship and forgiveness those who walk in sin and darkness; that the world of our immediate vision is but a poor shadow of the world that is to be, where Christ reigns as Lord of Lords and God is All in All. Amen. *GLORIA PATRI Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen. We come to You, for You have the power to take us from darkness into light, from chaos to order,

from aimlessness to direction. God, in the experience of worship, turn us again in the direction of Your Kingdom, stir us again with the mission You have given us, point us again to the doing of Your work on earth. As we spend this time with each other, push us out of complacency into concern, fill us with joy to celebrate being alive, lead us from where we are to where we can yet be. Amen. Pillow Talk - It’s not too late for 3 rd - 6th graders to sign up for Pillow Talk, to be held on April 1st and 2nd. Registration forms are available in the Church Office. Contact ruthboyle1@cox.net for more information. Family Promise - Dayspring hosted Family Promise from March 20-27. Tablecloths, towels and linens used during the week need to be washed. Dayspring Youth Ministry (DYM): * All Church Picnic: There is no Formation or Confirmation today so that all youth can help with our All Church Picnic which will be held on the east side of Waggoner Park beginning at 11:30A.M. Beginning at 10:00A.M., both Formation classes will join together with the United Methodist Men to get tables, grilles, and everything else set up at the park. See you all there! * Flamingo Flocking is coming: Our final (and most funfilled) Sierra Service Project fundraiser will be held Friday, April 8 from 8:00PM - midnight. We will again be delivering flamingos to unsuspecting recipients, under cover of darkness. We need your help, so please sign-up in the Youth rooms. Explorer’s Class new series: “Jesus: The Meaning of His Life and Death” begins this morning at 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Room. This 4-week series will deal with the following topics: 3/27 - Original Sin and how it is related to the Atonement; 4/3 - Jesus’ Program; “The Kingdom of God”; 4/10 - Who killed Jesus? The Jews, the Romans, All of us?; 4/17 - The Atonement: Various interpretations of this important doctrine. Jane Baker will facilitate. Contemporary Issues - The Contemporary Issues Class will discuss “Reclaiming Civil Discourse in America.” Political and civil expression has become intolerant, one sided and unfair. unproductive. We’ll discuss how we can restore civility to America’s political discourse. The class will be led by Eleonore and George Kerbs. Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time! Justice Class - During March and April, every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Adult Room, a course on justice will be offered. Presented by Craig Carpenter and John Fielden. Koinonikos Schedule - The next deadline date for the newsletter is April 15, and will include events in the month of May.
