DAYSPRING NOTES HYMN SING *CALL TO CELEBRATION Pastor: The earth shakes and the water quivers. People: The wind whistles and the sun listens. Pastor: The beauty of creation mingles with the power of creation. People: Awed in wonder and trembling with fear, we seek a safe place, Pastor: A place to voice our awe in song People: And welcome God's love that conquers our fear. *OPENING PRAYER (in unison)
God of glory and love, peace comes from you alone. Send us as peacemakers and witnesses to your kingdom, and fill our hearts with joy in your promises of salvation; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. *HYMN OF PRAISE “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty”
A TIME FOR OUR CHILDREN (As the children age 2 through Fifth grade leave for Sunday School, please join in singing Hymn #143) “On Eagle’s Wings” And God will raise you up on eagle’s wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun and hold you in the palm of God’s hand. THE INVITATION CONFESSION AND PARDON (in unison) Merciful God, we confess that we have not loved you with our whole heart. We have failed to be an obedient church. We have not done your will, we have broken your law, we have rebelled against your love, we have not loved our neighbors, and we have not heard the cry of the needy. Forgive us, we pray. Free us for joyful obedience, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Pastor:
Hear the good news. Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God’s love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! People: In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven! All: Thanks be to God. Amen.
