Fall Ministry Fair Mark your calendar for Sunday, November 11, and plan to attend this All-Church Event. It will be open in the morning from 10:00 a.m. to Noon in Fellowship Hall. We hope you will take this opportunity to learn more about all the ministries at Dayspring! Don’t Miss Dayspring Youth Ministries’ PIE SALE! We are selling 4 kinds of pie, each just $10: Pumpkin, Apple, Pecan, and Derby (made with walnuts and chocolate chips). We’re also selling Lemon Squares and Pumpkin Bread for $8. Place your order with us on the patio by Nov. 11. Youths will bake all the goodies fresh for you, with the help of some of our church’s finest bakers. You can pick up your desserts just in time for Thanksgiving - after worship service on Sunday, Nov. 18. All proceeds from this fundraiser go to the youths’ summer mission projects. Thank you! Playgroup - The Dayspring Playgroup is meeting Oct. 31 at 9:30 a.m. in the Doves Room for Halloween crafts and dressing up in costumes! We will have some special Halloween fun! The Explorer’s Class continues is series on “The Atonement” today with the “Moral Atonement Theory.” Next Sunday the class will an opportunity to discuss their own views of this important theological idea. “At One” with God? The class meets at 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Room. Tom Griffith is leading this series. Coffee is served. The Adult Contemporary Issues Class is studying and discussing “Mythology, Religion and the Judeo-Christian Tradition.” We are exploring mythology as “literature of the Spirit, a study of the inner life” and examining the function of Judeo-Christian symbols as keys to our spiritual understanding. Class meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Adult Room. Singles at Dayspring - Singles, Etc. Thanks! Dayspring Golf Outing - The Annual Dayspring Golf Outing sponsored by UMM will be Saturday, Nov. 10th, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Ahwatukee Country Club (48th St. and Warner). All Dayspring members and guests are invited (men and women). It’s a 4 person scramble with prizes for best and nos so spectacular efforts. Cost of $50 per person includes greens fees, cart, balls and lunch. Dad N’ Me Retreat - Mingus Mountain UM Camp will host their 4 th annual Dad-N’-Me Camp, Oct. 26-28, 2012. The camp will be filled with all kinds of fun activities for dads and elementary school children to share. Granddads and kids are welcome too! The camp is for dads and kids of both genders between 4 and 10 years old. It begins on Friday night after dinner and ends on Sunday after lunch.
