Explorer’s Class concludes its study this morning on “The Ordinary Radicals,” a movement of Evangelical Christians with a heightened passion for social change. Next Sunday, Jane Baker will begin a series on “Justice for the Poor”. Featuring Jim Wallis of Soujourner’s Magazine, this dvd/discussion series will focus on what the Bible says about how we should treat the “poor” among us. help us explore and understand how this book has become the most influential writings in human history. Join us as we read, discuss and learn about the Bible’s ancient beginnings and our present day interpretations. Connections is a Dayspring mission that advocates for the intrinsic worth of all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation. It offers support to and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons and their families. It also hosts the Tempe PFLAG group meeting each first Friday of the month. Our clergy can provide the names of “Connections” members for you to contact.
