You and your child may be able to participate in the Useful Speech Study if: • you suspect your child may have autism or your child has been diagnosed with autism • your child is between the ages of 24 and 47 months and • your child uses no words or very few words to communicate with others We are recruiting children with autism, and their parents, for a study investigating questions about what things affect the development of useful language. Children who participate in this study will come to the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center with a parent for 7 clinic appointments over a 16-month period.
