Each year this festival continues to grow and has become one of the largest city-wide celebrations in the United States. The Year of the Dragon 2024 ushers in opportunities for personal growth, social impact, and professional success. The CNY in the Desert annual celebration has such colorful and memorable festivities that I look forward to each year. Nevada appreciates the contributions of the Asian American and Pacific Islanders to the Southern Nevada community.

Dear Friends, As the Representative for Nevada’s Third Congressional District, I want to wish everyone across southern Nevada a happy Chinese New Year! I’m honored to help celebrate the 13th Annual Chinese New Year in the Desert and I hope the Year of the Dragon brings you and your family strength, health, and prosperity. Southern Nevada is incredibly proud of its Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities and the local leaders, small business owners, and hardworking families who make our state an incredible place to live. Chinese New Year is one of the most important festivals of the year, and this three-day event is an amazing opportunity to celebrate AANHPI culture and enjoy wonderful food, entertainment, and culture while supporting our local small businesses. I want to thank Golden Catalyst and all the volunteers for their hard work to make Chinese New Year in the Desert one of the top destinations in the U.S. to celebrate Chinese New Year. As your voice in Congress, I’m proud to be a member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, and I’m committed to ensuring that our AANHPI communities have the resources and support they need to thrive and grow. I will continue to stand up to hate, support our small businesses and schools, and work to make life more affordable. My door is always open to help. I hope everyone has a great time this season.
