Dear Sir/Madam, My name is David Sheridan, I am 25 years of age and am writing with regards to the possibility of joining your practice as a graduate architect. I have a degree in Architectural Technology from the Dublin Institute of Technology in which I was awarded a 2.1 and I have just completed my Bachelor of Architecture degree at the Glasgow School of Art. I have previously worked for a wellknown and award-wining practice in Dublin and gained excellent experience as an assistant architect. I will receive my B.Arch qualification in June and I am currently looking for employment in New York. It would be a privilege to work in your practice to broaden my knowledge of the profession and gain valuable working experience. I understand that due to the current economical climate there may be little amount of work available, but I am open to any duration of employment as I believe it is essential in my development as an architectural student. I am a very hard-working and dedicated person, who thrives on the opportunity to be given a challenge and do my upmost to complete it to the best of my ability. I enjoy working, and am rarely phased or overwhelmed by large workloads. Similarly I am used to working to deadlines and always ensure that I keep on top of my work from the beginning to ensure this. This is largely due to my educational experience, as in both degrees I have completed the workload is extremely high, and strict deadlines are regularly and heavily enforced, but also due to my professional experience in which I worked on a number of projects at planning and tender/construction stage. I would appreciate if you could take the time to consider me as a potential addition to your practice this year and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,

David Sheridan
