THE LADY OF MIRROR LAKE According to The Lantern, in the autumn of 1915, some students and faculty reported seeing a distraught woman sitting on the banks of Mirror Lake in the early morning and evening, and some even described her walking across the lake. Who was she? It turns out that the body of a Professor Clark was found in Mirror Lake in 1903. He had apparently taken his own life, depressed after losing a considerable amount of money in the stock market. His widow vowed never to abandon the spot where he died. After her death in 1915, her ghost began to appear at the lake.
