The South Barrow Bulletin

The Newsletter of the Parish of St. Aidan and the Parish of St. George with St. Luke and St. Perran

A warm welcome to all who worship with us on this Remembrance Sunday! This morning we especially give thanks to God for His deliverance of our nation in times of war and danger; we remember with gratitude the courage & devotion of those who through death, injury or bereavement, suffered to bring peace & freedom to our world; and we pray for peace and justice, not least during present conflicts. As a church family we seek to know Jesus better, to make Him better known and to encourage one another in Christian faith and life. For more details about Sunday and mid-week activities, please pick up the Autumn 2013 Programme Card and the current Church magazine, Team Talk, Talk from the back of all Team churches.

HOME GROUP The Home Group has begun to look at St Luke’s Gospel on Wednesday evenings at 8 pm at The Vicarage, 98a Roose Road. Whynot join others for this relaxed and encouraging time of learning together

A huge thank you to all who cooked, baked, washed up, manned the activities and came to join in with our

second Messy Church last Sunday. It was a great success with 36 children and their grown ups Attending; we modelled balloons, created a collage, stuck our hands in the gloop and got all chocolaty in the chocolate fountain, before thanking God for all He made and then enjoying a superb pasta tea together. It was a fun, friendly relaxed atmosphere where people could come and learn a bit more about our amazing creator God. Thank you to all the team who make this possible! The next Messy Team Meeting will be convened soon to plan for 1st December, when we will have a Christmas theme, celebrating Jesus' Birthday Party!
