DARTFORD CHORAL SOCIETY CELEBRATES A CENTURY OF SONG BY PAT EVERINGTON It’s hard to believe but we’ve been making music since 1919. Over the years we have had various conductors and our membership has fluctuated - but we are still here! More members are always welcome and indeed needed if we are to continue into the future. So please come along to discover the wonderful world of choral singing. We rehearse on Monday evenings at the Mick Jagger Centre, Shepherds Lane, Dartford, starting at 7.30pm. we are determined to mark the occasion albeit two years on - with a special concert on Saturday, 11 June at St Michael’s Church, Church Hill, Wilmington, starting at 7.30pm. The programme includes Brahm’s Requiem and various other shorter works. Civic dignitaries will be in attendance together with past members, patrons and our loyal followers. Free interval refreshments include wine and celebratory cake. Ticket prices on the door are £10 (£8 concessions).
