Darius is a Senior Architect with Atkins UK and has worked as an architect in many sectors specialising in complex educational, healthcare and research building types and demanding built forms. He has experience at various levels within the public and private sector; from the design of children's centres and schools for Local authorities through to colleges and hospitals in the UK and internationally. Darius plays a key role in the thinking and execution of our architectural design deliverables for new projects and in leading a multi discipline team. Darius' work has been rewarded for his architectural solutions for sustainable design. Darius also has extensive technical knowledge and attention to detail is particularly important to him.

Churchill Hospital, Oxford Architect and master planner for new Development Control Plans for a 10 and 20 year projection, to work around a new PFI hospital. The brief for this site has is for non-critical ambulant care, including a new PCT hospital and an ‘elderly mental health’ cluster. The planning of the new wards take into account the incorporation of single bed wards. The DCP’s also identified land for disposal.
Rathgael Residential Secure Care Unit, Bangor, Northern Ireland This development comprises of a residential unit for 16 young people with additional facilities providing education, therapy and administration support. The unit provides residential care for children, boys and girls of 1117 years old, whom are at high risk, have experienced trauma that require their liberty to be restricted. Muckamore Abbey Hospital, Northern Ireland The 35 bed Admissions and Assessment unit and 23 bed Forensic unit are the first of five phases of development planned at Muckamore Abbey Hospital. Akaria Towers, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia feasibility and concept design for a £200 multi use development in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Market Place, Brentford, London Design & Project Architect Riverside Housing scheme – Value £2 million Didcot Parkway Station Interchange Feasibility, Form A and planning submission for a design creating a modern transport interchange at Didcot Parkway railway station encouraging use of sustainable modes of transport. The new station forecourt will create a real sense of arrival to Didcot and establish clear links to the town centre. The scheme will include a pedestrian piazza in front of the station building, as well as planting, landscaping and public art. There will be four dedicated bus bays, covered cycle parking, a taxi rank with parking and circulation space, a kiss and ride drop off area, parking spaces for disabled drivers and car parking for permit holders.
