28th August 2011 With all my heart, I want you to be able to understand His immense love for you, and to walk in the "life more abundantly" that He came to give you. My friend, this "life more abundantly" comes only through Jesus who died to give it to us. At the cross, Jesus took upon Himself the curse of sin, death, sickness and poverty that was meant to fall on you (Galatians 3:13). And He gave you His abundant blessings of grace and favour. What a divine exchange! Hallelujah! This means that today, you are an heir of God's unfailing provision, an heir of His perfect health, and an heir of His awesome abundance.
Beloved, God wants you to face life and expect good to happen to you today because of His grace. He wants you to believe that you no longer get what you deserve based on your actions, merits and self– efforts.
Instead, you get what Jesus deserves— abundant favour and blessings— because of the divine exchange that happened at the cross.
Today, Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, completely favoured and completely blessed. And according to Ephesians 2, you are seated with Him in heavenly places, and so therefore, you can also receive and walk in this same favour and blessing. Declare this today: "Because of Jesus' finished work, God gives me what Christ deserves, not what I deserve. I'm expecting good things to happen to me this week because God loves me! He has great plans for me!" And the way for you to experience God's goodness every day is to stop trying to earn it, and focus on God's love for you—see how His grace has made you righteous and accepted in His eyes to receive His blessings freely.

As the devastation of the earthquake and tsunami unfolded in Japan earlier this year, the terrifying news spread around the world that Japan's nuclear power plants were crippled and in danger of meltdown. At the Fukushima plant, one hundred and eighty workers, in groups of fifty, tried to cool the nuclear rods and stave off disaster. These men were in grave danger from radiation poisoning in their attempts to secure the plant. While this is amazing enough, it is also remarkable that they were actually volunteering for this task. They were not forced to or incentivised by pay but rather motivated by a desire to save their nation. It is always inspiring to see people giving their lives for the good of others. History records that Jesus acted in the same way, motivated by human need, when He died on the cross for all humanity. That action still changes lives today.

"RE" Words There are many "RE" words that are packed with hope and encouragement. The word REpurpose is often used today to remind us that many things once discarded, considered useless, and put aside for the trash heap, can be brought back, become useful once again, have value, and take on new meaning. In the Scriptures we find some wonderful "RE" words that can keep hope and encouragement alive and thriving in our hearts. REdeemed
I am the LORD...I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments. Exodus 6:6
One day, one friend asked another, ' How is it that you are always so happy? You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down... ‘ With her eyes smiling, she said, ' I know the Secret! ' ' What secret is that? ' To which she replied, ‘I'll tell you all about it, But you have to promise to share the Secret with others. ' ‘The Secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs.
'For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,' says the Lord. Jeremiah 30:17 REnewed
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles... Isaiah 40:31
When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches. I have learned most of the time I don’t need half of what I think I do. He has never let me down. Since I learned that ' Secret ‘, I am happy.' The questioner’s first thought was, ' that’s too simple! ' But upon reflecting over her own life she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy, but it didn't! She thought a better paying job would make her happy, but it hadn't. When did she realise her greatest happiness? Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren, Playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, A simple gift from God. Now you know it too! We can't depend on people to make us happy. Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that. Trust HIM! And now I pass the Secret on to you! So once you get it, what will you do? YOU have to tell someone the Secret, too! That GOD in His wisdom will take care of YOU! But it’s not really a secret... We just have to believe it and do it... Really trust God!
Living By Pattern, not Perspective I heard a pastor talk of the anguish of watching his adult son struggle with life-threatening cancer and of sitting by his son's bedside, comforting his son's young wife through the trauma. His son wasn’t improving and the future was very unsure. The pain for the pastor was how to continue in life, encouraging and supporting others whilst his own situation was also so painful. He said he had made a decision to "live by pattern, not perspective." His perspective on life at that moment was hard. There seemed little reason to rejoice or be positive. What had become important for him was the pattern he had built his life on - a pattern of worship, prayer, faith and belief. These activities and attributes were ultimately most important and he was able to lean on the pattern he had built up over a lifetime. In the tough times, the perspective of the moment can seem crippling but the pattern you are building right now of spending time with God, and growing in faith and belief will help carry you through the tough times.
