Sales Corner REACHING OUT TO THE TEAM ‘Rain rain go away, Come again another day. We all want to play; Rain, rain, go to Spain, Never show your face again! (Traditional Children’s song) What a month February turned out to be, the shortest month of the year managed to pack in plenty of terrible weather and 2 massively disruptive tube strikes, we narrowly missed the second but the impact was still felt. But all was not bad, England did beat Ireland in the Rugby! We continued to be busy, keeping up with our competitors, and continuing to push to overtake them. The focus for the sales team has been make sure all existing companies bring as much business to us as possible, checking that our new companies are all happy and booking and continuing the search for new business. Look out for the new companies we signed up during the month including Monster, Daihatsu, Huawei and Retail Marketing International. Meetings and events are securing more and more business with an average of 5-10 new enquires coming in each day, and most at very short notice ! We are now working on the rest of the year and beyond with some exciting opportunities on the horizon, as far out as the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Everyone in the hotel has a part in the success of our business and let’s continue to provide our excellent efforts in our teamwork and service excellence that will bring us extraordinary results. Hilton Quality Audit (QA) Please note that we are expected to have our next QA inspection anytime from March onwards. Therefore, please ensure any outstanding brand training is completed & endeavor to follow & deliver on brand standards at all times. Please see your line manager to check which training is still outstanding for you.
