DISCOVERING PORTUGAL... …AND …IT’S

AN ARDUOUS BUT WORTH-WHILE TASK

A small country entwined in riches, with centuries of history, which leaves visitors marvelled. If in the main cities such as Lisbon, Oporto, Évora or Coimbra, it’s easy to identify countless monuments of various eras that fill whoever visits them with culture, not less important are the small villages in the Beira, Alentejo or Trás-os-Montes… Naturally there are jewels that

OUR NEIGHBOURS…

Speaking about Spain, is talking about a vast country which is wealthy in culture and enriched by centuries of history. Originating from its many medieval kingdoms, Spain Is formed by a huge variety of important places to visit. In the North, close to the Atlantic coast, is one of the many Shrines where, since the Middle Ages, pilgrims headed to on foot and horseback. Passing through the “Caminhos de Santiago”, you can find a vast cultural, religious and architectural heritage, the result of years of passing pilgrims.

become know worldwide, such as Alcobaça or Batalha, because of their convents that, in the past, were closed to the world but now reveal a lot of the monastic life lived centuries ago. We can never forget Portugal’s religious importance… With many Marian Shrines spread across the country, from the most picturesque ones to the well known (Our Lady of Conception, Our Lady of Sameiro, Our Lady of Remedies…) to the internationally known “Altar of the World” - Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima. From this small town called Fatima, which is right in the centre of the country, there are many tour proposals and destinations. But Portugal has much more to offer their visitors! With a vast sea coast, magnificent beaches and many thermal resorts, it’s a top choice country for those who intend on staying in one of the many accommodations, always with the quality that distinguishes us. The gastronomic itineraries are an excellent choice for those

In every region of France, there is something important to discover! Just a few kilometres from the Spanish border, in the Mid-Pyrenees, you can find the peace and serenity of one of the world’s most important shrines. In Lourdes, the air you breathe is that of Peace! The City of Lights, as Paris is known, is undoubtedly a choice selection for many. Here you can find some of the world’s most famous monuments and museums! Go to Normandy, visit Mont Saint Michel’s abbey, Loire Valley or feel the medieval atmosphere of Strasbourg. Taking a walk along the Mediterranean coast in the famous Cote d’Azur, with its lovely beaches, is a good alternative for those seeking rest but also have some fun. From here, Italy – often called the Land of the Pope, is just a short distance away. Italy is one of the main pilgrimage and tourism centres of the world! Going to Rome, walking in the capital’s streets and squares is a challenge! Entering St. Peter and St. Paul’s Basilicas, visiting the Sistine Chapel, taking part in the papal audience or the angelus is always a highlight in the pilgrimages to Italy.

And why not get to know more places than Rome or the Vatican? Go to Venice and enjoy the romantic atmosphere combined with art and culture? Make a short stop in Assisi, Padua, Pisa or Florence? In a country where art developed in an extraordinary form and the maters of the renaissance were born, you are invited to visit the many museums and countless cathedrals spread all over the whole country. So much to visit… In Europe, the options are endless…but, why not go to the Middle East, to one of its most enchanting places, to Jesus’ Land - the Holy Land. Stand close to the sea of Galilee and feeling the wind blowing on your face, enjoy the view looking of the vast and green valleys, climb the mount of the Beatitudes or Tabor. Take a closer look at the Golan Heights or bathe in the Dead Sea, visit Bethlehem or Nazareth or kiss the Tomb where Jesus was laid and rose from the dead! Behold a culturally and spiritually enriched itinerary. A country where, the beliefs of various religions intermingle and where many different nations discover the true reason of their existence. This is the land of Peace! And Egypt is just across the border. It is on the River Nile’s banks that one of the most fascinating civilizations of the world was born. You can find some of their most famous monuments such as, the Giza Pyramids, Great Sphinx, Temples of Karnak, Luxor, Philae or Abu Simbel among so many others. Visit the most important tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Queens and get to know these people’s belief in life after death.

NOT DISCOVER THIS AND MUCH MORE?

who wish to taste the delicious cooking, combined with good wines from Oporto, Alentejo or many other regions known as “Região Demarcada”. Last but not least are the two Archipelagos: Azores and Madeira. Each Island invites you to a new discovery of culture and riches. They are Real Oasis in the Atlantic Ocean and are tourist destinations worth discovering.
