On Tuesday afternoon March 22, 2016 the newly elected government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau delivered its first budget. And what a budget it was. Too bad it doesn’t give much to the average Canadian. In fact upon further scrutiny it places us in conditions far worse than anything Canadians have ever witnessed in the history of Confederation. According to the tabled budget by Finance Minister Bill Morneau, “ We are seizing the opportunity to invest in people and the economy, and prepare Canada for a brighter future.” That in case you’re wondering is double speak for telling us what he really means is Canadians are going to hand over more and more money to the Bank of Canada, i.e BIS, in the coming years to eventually have such quantitative easing programs requiring bail-ins; The specific text:

“ Introducing a Bank Recapitalization “Bail-in” Regime

To protect Canadian taxpayers in the unlikely event of a large bank failure, the Government is proposing to implement a bail-in regime that would reinforce that bank shareholders and creditors are responsible for the bank’s risks—not taxpayers. This would allow authorities to convert eligible long-term debt of a failing systemically important bank into common shares to recapitalize the bank and allow it to remain open and operating. Such a measure is in line with international efforts to address the potential risks to the financial system and broader economy of institutions perceived as “too-big-to-fail”. The Government is proposing to introduce framework legislation for the regime along with accompanying enhancements to Canada’s bank resolution toolkit. Regulations and guidelines setting out further features of the regime will follow. This will provide stakeholders with an additional opportunity to comment on elements of the proposed regime. Bail-in Regime for Banks

Canada’s financial system performed well during the 2008 global financial crisis. Since that time, Canada has been an active participant in the G20’s financial sector reform agenda aimed at addressing the factors that contributed to the crisis. This includes international efforts to address the potential risks to the financial system and broader economy of institutions perceived as “toobig-to-fail”. Implementation of a bail-in regime for Canada’s domestic systemically important banks would strengthen our bank resolution toolkit so that it remains consistent with best practices of peer jurisdictions and international standards endorsed by the G20.” Budget 2016 PDF chapter 8; budget.gc.ca What are bail-ins you ask? This is where manipulation or double speak is only given to the best ministers to speak such nonsense. Bail-ins were made famous by the late Conservative Finance Minister Jim Flaherty

back in the day. Bail-ins are commonly known for taking “creditors” and “bank shareholders” money to pay for bank losses. Finance ministers cover this double speak by telling the taxpayers ( Canadians) are not on the hook for an eventual bank loss and thus propose the alternatives. Creditors and bank share holders. Who are the creditors? Well thats the best part kept secret under the guise of truth. Everyone who has money deposited in a bank is a creditor. That means you and I. Grandma and grandpa. Mom and dad. But Morneau was right on one thing. He and his cohorts are “seizing” this great “opportunity to invest in “people” and the economy and to “prepare” Canadians for a “bright future”. But only for the 1%. And you and I are not in that club! So govern yourself accordingly my friend.

Will the Queen retire in April? Lately articles have been appearing in the National Post suggesting Prince Williams as the heir to be. Written discreetly that perhaps Prince Charles is not in good standing with the British people due to the events surrounding Princess Diana’s death or even with the Queen herself. Regardless of what the monarchy thinks or not regarding certain past events, Queen Elizabeth is about to celebrate her 90th birthday this coming April. With spectacular grandiosity scheduled for June of 2016, now might this be the opportune time for the Queen to announce her retirement? It would certainly seem to be and what a field day this would bring to the biggest conspiracy theorists the world over. Now according to Dr. Bob Thiel at COG

writer, Prince William is actually a clear descendant from the throne of David spoken of in the Holy Bible. Dr. Thiel, who has been featured on National and International television for his outstanding work on biblical prophecy, writes assertively that indeed “Queen Elizabeth II is a descendant of David as are her son Charles and his son William.” Dr. Thiel goes even further in his claims, stating quite clearly: “Since Jesus has not yet returned, that throne is still under control of the British royal family. But He will receive the throne His father David and reign over the house of Jacob.” Now call me cynical or perhaps outspoken but if the British monarchy thinks the same way as Dr. Thiel does, then what are we, as subjects of the monarchy here in Canada, suppose to make of this? These “conspiracy theorists” claim the “powers” to be are going to bring us towards a one world government with a one world currency and a one world religion. Either thru the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) or thru some concerned efforts in “diplomacy” or a combination of both or more. Even the National Post and the Associated Press sets quite clearly that the “ commonwealth has got to stand for something” “ Michael Lake, director of the Royal Commonwealth Society, a charity that promotes the organization’s values, says the Commonwealth could be an important “soft power” force,” “ Yet, Dr. Thiel is very clear. “First, let’s look at some scriptures about promises that God made to David, the former King of Israel:

“I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant David: ‘Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.” (Psalms 89:3-4) Dr. Thiel goes even further to assert the monarchy has a rightful claim to the throne of King David (the article can viewed in full at http://www.cogwriter. com/news/prophecy/might-princewilliam-obtain-the-throne-of-david/) Dr. Thiel has been cited on MSNBC and the Washington Post. Of course this very bold claim made by Dr. Thiel has enormous implications not only for the conspiracy buffs but also for Biblical scholars reading the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation and every other Bible student that has been reading for thousand of years regarding “certain” events coming to pass concerning end times, which is not for this discussion. Yet clearly if the Queen was to hand over the throne to Prince William this coming June perhaps even more articles would start appearing worldwide on the subject. In the meantime the National Post ran another story just recently about the prince. This time telling us prince Phillips is getting older and prince William is not working hard enough. So it makes one wonder if the stage is ripped for the grand theologian in the Lion King, Mufasa , to bring the circle of life worldwide? Richard Paul

False East/West Paradigm ……..

Brandon Smith

“...The argument of two parties should represent opposed ideas and policies, one perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinate and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out”

People are desperate for leaders and heroes. This is an undeniable condition of human life and of human civilization. Some historians and social observers, however, seem to think it is enough to simply point out this condition and pretend as if they have made some grand declaration; as if they have come to the root of the problem of mankind. In their laziness, they have mistaken a symptom for the cause. Why do people so often demand leaders and heroic figures? What drives the institutionalization of hierarchy, celebrity and geopolitical idolization? I believe this condition is caused by three factors – fear, ignorance, and apathy. This is not to say that there are not people throughout history that are worth looking up to, or that looking up to a par-

ticular hero figure is wrong. Heroes and sometimes leaders can act as points of reference, helping us to aspire to greater personal accomplishment and extraordinary achievement. The problem is many historical figures labeled heroic are in fact monsters in masks paraded as saviors by history writers with agendas. Real heroes (in the past hundred years in particular) are most often unsung, and remain little known. This is why the idolization of puppet leaders is so disturbing to those of us in the Liberty Movement. We witnessed the blind militancy of the so-called “right wing” in the support of George W. Bush after 9/11, only to be led into quagmire, economic despair, and a surveillance state based on numerous lies. We then had to witness

the insane cult-like fervor of the so-called “left wing” as Barack Obama took office, only to continue and accelerate the same draconian policies of the Bush Administration while conjuring new methods for the division and destruction of American society and prosperity. Yes, the Liberty Movement has examined every detail and is well versed in the horrors of the false Left/Right paradigm. Again, I’ll have to quote the ever useful elitist member of the Council on Foreign Relations and mentor to former president Bill Clinton, Carroll Quigley, on this particular issue, from his book ‘Tragedy And Hope’: “...The argument of two parties should represent opposed ideas and policies, one perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a

foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinate and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. The policies that are vital and necessary for America are no longer subjects of significant disagreement, but are disputable only in details of procedure, priority, or method.” What truly disturbs me is that our movement can be so awake and aware of the false left/right paradigm while remaining astonishingly naïve and short sighted when it comes to the false East/ West paradigm. And once again, I have to attribute this naivety to a desperation for heroes caused by fear and

9

apathy. I have written on the reality that Eastern political interests are just as controlled by globalists as Western political interests for years. Readers can review the considerable amount of data and evidence I have collected on Russia and Vladimir Putin in particular and the ties between the East and international financiers and well known globalists in recent articles such as ‘Russia Is Dominated By Global Banks, Too’, ‘False East/West Paradigm Hides The Rise Of Global Currency’, and ‘The New World Order And The Rise Of The East’. In fact, I predicted almost every aspect of the current Syrian crisis based on the knowledge that the East versus West dynamic was purely an engineered conflict designed to diminish American power and economic influence through the use of planned chaos, and I did this years before events were ever triggered in the region. I knew what was about to happen in Syria only because I understood one important fundamental – that there are no “sides” in any modern conflict, only proxies fighting on a global chessboard controlled by the same elitist interests. Syria represented a perfect catalyst for a planetary scale conflict triggered between East and West in way that could divert attention from internationalists. Modern war, whether through kinetics or economics, is almost always theater designed to distract and terrorize the masses, which are the true target of any conflagration. We must set aside childish assumptions on war. Wars are not about resources. They are not about territory. They are not about the hegemony of any particular nation state. If you buy into such notions, you have been duped. No, war is about something much bigger. War first and foremost is a tool for the manipulation and molding of public psychology. As Edward Bernays, the father of modern propaganda said: “The great enemy of any attempt to change men’s habits is inertia. Civilization is limited by inertia.” War is meant to forcefully change the “inertia” of civilization, and thus, forcefully change the direction of civilization in a manner that benefits the engineers of the conflict. One great threat to the mechanism of globalism and the elites behind it is the liberty movement, which is slowly but steadily growing in

popularity and influence as America edges ever closer to economic and sociopolitical oblivion. As the U.S. is homogenized, harmonized, and brought down to third world status for the benefit of a one-world system, resistance continues to grow. You see, one negative side-effect of the rush towards centralization and a single global power (often referred to by the elites as the “New World Order”) is that the harder the globalists push society toward their Utopian ideal, the more individuals (not controlled governments or poli-

tical puppets) wake up to the threat. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The Liberty Movement is the equalizing reaction to forced globalization.

Forced globalization In order for the elites to neutralize the threat we present, they must either destroy us or co-opt us. I believe the East/West paradigm is being used in part to attempt the co-option of liberty elements. Despite the fact that many liberty

analysts are beginning to understand the nature of the false East/West paradigm and the truth behind the rise of Russia, the predictable escalation in Syria is energizing a strange brand of Putin-worship once again. Liberty elements WANT to believe that Putin is somehow in opposition to globalization, that he is somehow morally superior to the Obama Administration, and that Russia is on the side of right in the fight against ISIS and the evil Western empire.

“official”. Russia also demanded that Ukraine’s debts be repaid in Special Drawing Rights, the global currency basket which the IMF plans to use to replace the U.S. dollar as the world reserve mechanism. They will also surely ignore the fact that Putin and the Kremlin have on multiple occasion called for the IMF to take over global management of the worlds financial systems through the implementation of the SDR as the new world reserve currency.

ISIS and the evil Western empire.

SDR as the new world reserve currency.

They want to believe this because they are afraid – they are afraid that they are alone in the fight against the NWO. They are afraid that they will have to commit to personal sacrifice and struggle against a vastly technologically superior opponent. They are afraid that they alone will have to take responsibility for America’s destiny and that no great leader on a white horse is coming to blaze the path ahead of them. Because of this fear, they sometimes commit the crime of cognitive dissonance in order to protect their false belief in a heroic Putin. They will ignore the fact that Putin is a long time friend of Henry Kissinger, the most publicly vocal proponent of the “New World Order, and that Putin describes Kissinger as his “trusted foreign policy adviser”. They will ignore the fact that Russia’s primary economic adviser is none other than the hitman of the international banking syndicate, Goldman Sachs, and that Goldman Sachs has been deeply involved in Russia’s economic affairs since at least 1992, just after the fall of the Soviet Union. They will ignore the fact that Putin and Russia have allied closely with the IMF (an institution supposedly dominated by the U.S.). Putin and the IMF are so intertwined that it was Putin who demanded that the IMF take over the management of Ukraine’s finances after the regional crisis began, and, it was the IMF that blatantly supported Putin’s call for a change in Ukraine’s bond status from private to

And of course, the fact that Russia is a member of the Bank for International Settlements and the BIS is the policy dictator of ALL central banking (do I really need to quote Carroll Quigley on the BIS yet again?) does not bode well for the affiliations and intentions of Russia as a whole, yet we are still bombarded in the liberty movement with platitudes on how Putin is “sticking it to the bankers”. No, I’m afraid not. According to the evidence, Putin is just like Obama: Yet another whore for the internationalists. Post all the pictures you want of the guy holding an uzi or finishing a judo throw, but his public persona does not fit reality. The mainstream media in the U.S. has for the most part run on the narrative that Putin is the next Stalin, and if you are going to perpetuate a false East/West paradigm this makes perfect sense. But there is also a separate narrative being presented to the liberty movement and the rest of the world. The talking points coming out of outlets like RT (Russia Today), a media machine controlled by the Russian government, has for the past few years stolen brilliant observations by American liberty proponents and repackaged them as video fluff. Most of these observations are negative

in their view of U.S. government policy as well as central banking dictatorship, and they are also entirely correct. The problem is, RT does not apply the same standards of journalistic skepticism to the Russian government or its ties to the central banking cabal. Time Magazine publishes pro-Putin articles naming him “man of the year” in every other nation where they have distribution, but removes these stories and covers when publishing in America.

Time Magazine publishes pro-Putin The general American public is being sold on the idea that Putin is a calculating danger to global stability and that Western governments must become more aggressive to counter the threat. The rest of the world and the liberty movement are being sold on the image of a benevolent Putin and a Russia standing firm against the corrupt war machine of the West, but this image simply is not real. The danger for the liberty movement in the near future is considerable. Our blind support of the false East/West paradigm makes us vulnerable to easy co-option, for if we as a movement are tricked into closely affiliating with Rus-

11

sia then we lose our identity as a force for American independence and become nothing more than an “Eastern created” faux revolution. Think it can’t happen? Mainstream media outlets are ALREADY building the narrative. The Atlantic was the first, with an article directly connecting “right wing” movements and “conspiracy theorists” in the U.S. with Russian influence and propaganda. As the false East/West confrontation grows, the real purpose of such a crisis will become apparent. ISIS agents conveniently shipped out of Syria among millions of “refugees” before Russian forces finally decided to strike will wreak havoc in Western nations. Economic chaos will become prevalent. The U.S. will lose the dollar’s petro-status as the East subsumes Eurasia. Fear of another world war will haunt public perception. The ever uneducated and terrified mass majority will become far less tolerant of intelligent dissent. And, the Fabian Socialists infesting global institutions will suggest a clever solution to the problem they created - the dissolution of all sovereign nations and the complete centralization of governance into the hands of a select few to save humanity from such destructive divisions. If you understand that a primary goal of globalists is to fully remove constitutional protections in America and assert a totalitarian framework, then you have to admit that a conflict with Russia is an excellent opportunity for them. War fever makes men delirious and malleable, and outside threats make internal despotism more tolerable. In the meantime, if the liberty movement refuses to treat Russia with the same x-ray vision it has used against western governments (a Russia clearly working with international financiers and globalist institutions) then we make it far easier for the elitist propaganda machine to paint us as Eastern backed traitors rather than freedom fighters down the road, thus crushing our chances at garnering increased support from the public and awakening new voices. Mark my words, in the end we will not only be forced to rebel against centraliza-

tion under our own criminal government; we will also have to rebel against criminal puppet governments everywhere. I have no doubt that when we see the ranks of the globalist enemy, there will be Russian faces standing right alongside Western oligarchs. Maybe then people will finally admit that the East/West crisis was a carefully crafted hoax all along.

Helicopter Mo ney Tyler Durden Helicopter Money Comes To Canada Earlier today, we

explained why so-called “helicopter money” can’t save the world when ZIRP, NIRP, and QE have all failed to revive global demand and boost inflation. The reason: QE is helicopter money. That is, we’ve been doing this for 8 years and it hasn’t worked yet. Some readers were reluctant to buy this rationale, but the fact is, just because the bank intermediary failed to do its part for Main Street doesn’t thereby mean this entire experiment isn’t still a farce. Think about the mechanics of it: 1) the government prints a liability (a bond), 2) that liability is sold to a primary dealer, 3) the central bank buys that government liability with yet another liability (dollars) that the government also prints. That’s a scam. It’s deficit financing with one (very tenuous) degree of separation. The fact that the middlemen (the banks) didn’t pass along the benefits to you doesn’t make the mechanics of it any less ridiculous. But if that’s helicopter money “v.1,” Main Street thinks it didn’t work out so well. Banks recovered, Jamie Dimon and Lloyd Blankfein became billionaires, financial assets soared, and everyday people got Gene Wilder’d. Well if helicopter money “v.3” entails flying around and raining actual banknotes onto the hapless masses, then we suppose we should at least try “v.2” first, and “v.2” is what many have

called a “basic income.” The idea is to send everyone a monthly check that would either supplement or replace altogether, complex systems of state benefits thereby making households better off and saving the government money in the process. As The Independent notes, Ontario is set to become the latest locale to float the idea: “Ontario has announced it could soon be sending a monthly cheque to its residents as it plans to launch an experiment testing the basic income concept.” Here are some excerpts from Ontario’s budget statement: “The pilot project will test a growing view at home and abroad that basic income could build on the success of minimum wage policies and increases in child benefits by providing more consistent and predictable support in the context of today’s dynamic labour market. “The pilot would also test whether a basic income would provide a more efficient way of delivering income support, strengthen the attachment to the labour force, and achieve savings in other areas such as health care and housing supports. The government will work with communities, researchers and other stakeholders in 2016 to determine how best to implement a Basic Income pilot.” Right. So basically they have no idea how this is going to work or how to go about implementing it. But don’t think Ontario is alone. “Finland plans to outline a basic income plan for its citizens later this year, while the Dutch city of Utrecht launched an experiment in January, involving welfare recipients, to see

13

what effect a basic income would have,” Huff Post wrote, late last month. And don’t forget, “the Swiss will vote in a referendum in June to decide whether to implement a basic income of some C$3,200 per month.” We profiled the upcoming Swiss vote here, noting that the plan could make the country the first in the world to pay all of its citizens a monthly basic income regardless if they work or not. Amusingly, the Swiss said something similar to the Canadians about the link between the basic income and work. “The initiative’s backers say it aims to break the link between employment and income,” The Daily Mail wrote, of the Swiss plan. Much as Ontario thinks a basic income would “strenghten the attachment to the labor force.” Those statements are so counterintuitive as to be laughable. As long as federal and local governments are running a surplus that can account for these programs while staying in balance we suppose that’s fine, but what happens when people simply stop working and tax revenues fall? Do you then tax the basic income to pay for the basic income? That seems silly. And if not, do you sell bonds to the central bank to fund the program? And wouldn’t those bonds be claims on tax revenues which would only keep falling as the incentive to work decreases? Who knows, but we’re sure smarter people than us have thought it through. Or not. Or maybe we’re asking too many questions and the government would just say this:

Equality Between Men And Women Is Not Achievable The politically-correct goal for ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ is not achievable. It is absolutely impossible. It will never be found. It will never be discovered. It will never happen. Indeed, the very search for ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ is fuelling a never-ending war between ‘men’ and ‘women’. The more aggressive and energetic is this nonsensical search for ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ , the more aggressive and energetic will be the war (i.e. the hostility) between ‘men and ‘women’. To try to highlight this, notice that there is no ‘equitable’ solution even to this very simple question ... Question: Should ‘women’ have more votes than ‘men’? For those who think, Yes, (because there are more women voters than men voters) then it follows that they also believe that those in a minority should have less of a say in what affects them. They believe that the largest group (women) should have the greatest power. As such, ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ is already lost. For those who think, No, (because this would be unfair on ‘men’) then it follows that they also believe that those in the majority should have

less of a say in what affects them. They believe that the individual vote of a woman should be worth less than that of a man. As such, ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ is already lost. In other words, there is no solution to this question. The search for ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ is like a dog chasing its own tail. It will always be out of reach. And the very act of chasing it is costing us a great deal and causing tremendous damage to us. The solution that we need to seek is not ‘equality’ - because it will never be found. The best that can be hoped for is that people are happy with what is happening. For example, if I had to answer the question, “Should ‘women’ have more votes than ‘men’?” I would say, Yes (because there are more women voters than men voters). But I would not be saying Yes in order to achieve ‘equality’. I would be saying Yes because, currently, it seems to be the better option - for the sake of peace, if nothing else. And this, in fact, is what all this nonsense about ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ should really boil down to. If men and women are equally happy with whatever is the issue of concern, then, if you like, some

version of ‘equality’ has been achieved. But the state of people’s happiness actually depends to a very large extent on the propaganda that envelops them. If the propaganda tells them that they are badly off then their happiness levels will fall and their aggression levels will rise. If the propaganda tells them that they are doing well then their happiness levels will rise and their aggression levels will fall. if people want ‘men’ and ‘women’ to be happy about each other then they need - amongst other things - to do their best to destroy all those forces that seek ‘equality’ And so if people want ‘men’ and ‘women’ to be happy about each other then they need - amongst other things - to do their best to destroy all those forces that seek ‘equality’ between ‘men’ and ‘women’ - because these forces will, in practice, forever be creating hostility between ‘men’ and ‘women’ while in pursuit of an impossible goal! Finally, neither men nor women need to be ‘equal’ to each other in order to be happy with each other. Global Liquidity

Collapses

zero hedge Global Liquidity Collapses To 2008 Crisis Levels The last time that global liquidity conditions contracted at this pace was March 2008 (right as stocks dead-catbounced on the back of The Fed’s guarantee of Bear Stearns’ sale to JPMorgan)... and things escalated rather quickly thereafter. Liquidity conditions also contracted (though not as severely as the current conditions) in Dec 2011... which prompted Bernanke to unleash QE2

Bloomberg defines BofAML’s Global Liquidity Tracker as follows: Our real-time Global Liquidity Tracker (GLT) is a composite indicator of liquidity conditions in emerging and developed economies. To estimate our GLT indicator, we employ a dynamic factor model used by

global central banks. Our Liquidity Tracker extracts a common unobserved factor reflecting the greatest common variation among market spreads, asset prices, monetary and credit data across different frequencies. We combine our US, Euro area, Japan and EM Liquidity trackers into a global composite using financial weights reflecting the average relevance of an economy in terms of market capitalization and private sector credit. All of this allows us to produce timely estimates of liquidity conditions in an effort to asses the state of the global economy. A reading of zero indicates liquidity at its long-run average while activity between -3 and +3 represents the standard deviation from this average. Most worryingly - if it wasn’t already obvious, given the world’s stock markets’ total and utter devotion and dependence on central bank-provided liquidity - we have seen this pattern before.

Fighters From Turkey Ar Attacking Targets D

Michael Snyder The ceasefire in Syria is a joke. Turkish military units continue to mass along the border, and militants are pouring across the border to attack targets in northern Syria. The Prime Minister of Turkey is now openly admitting that his government is supporting the militants that are trying to overthrow the Syrian government, and the Turkish government has also made it abundantly clear that they have no plans to stop shelling the Kurds on the other side of the border. So despite the “ceasefire”, the truth is that the threat of World War 3 breaking out in the Middle East is greater than ever. At times it is difficult to see the dividing line between the Turkish military and the radical jihadists that are hopping back and forth across the border with the full support of the Turkish government. Over the weekend, militants from Turkey that crossed over into northern Syria were supported by artillery fire from the Turkish military as they attacked a key Kurdish town… In the Raqqa province, a group of some 100 fighters crossed into Syria from Turkey. The group later joined forces with other militants and attacked the Kurdish town of Tell Abyad. The 250-strong group was supported by artillery fire from the Turkish territory, a fact that Russia said the US should explain. The Kurdish YPG militia fended off the attack, the report said. This is an act of war, and yet the Obama administration does not seem to mind. If Turkey will not even honor the ceasefire, what hope is there that anything will be able to stop them from acting so aggressively? At this point, the Turks are not even pretending anymore. Just the other day, Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu openly admitted that his nation is backing the militants that are trying to overthrow the Assad regime… “How would they be able to defend themselves if there was no Turkish support of the Syrian people? … If there’s today a real moderate Syrian opposition, it’s because of the Turkish support. If today the [Assad] regime isn’t able to control all the territories [it’s] because of Turkish and some other countries’ support,” he told Al-

Jazeera earlier this week. Obviously this ceasefire is not going to work. Turkey has not even pressed pause in their relentless campaign against the Assad regime and the Kurds. The Turkish government has become absolutely obsessed with their neighbor to the south, and that is a very dangerous thing for the rest of the planet. The only way that Turkey, Saudi Arabia and their allies are going to be able to win the war now is to conduct a massive ground invasion of Syria. Such a move would lead to direct conflict with Iran, Hezbollah and the Russians, and since Turkey is a member of the NATO alliance, that could threaten to drag the U.S. and western Europe into the war as well. The following comes from the International Business Times… The wider consequences of any disagreement between Ankara and Moscow could lead to a standoff between Russia and NATO. Jen Stoltenberg, secretary general of the Brusselsbased organization, said in late 2015 that it would be prepared to defend the member state of Turkey if it were attacked by Russia. “NATO will defend you, NATO is on the ground, NATO is ready,”

19

Are Pouring Into Syria And s Despite The Ceasefire

Stoltenberg said in the aftermath of repeated breaches of Turkish airspace by Russian jets and just one month before Ankara shot down a Russian jet in November. The 28-country alliance is bound by Article 5 of its treaty to collectively defend its members. “Collective defense means that an attack against one ally is considered as an attack against all allies,” the article states. Saudi Arabia does not appear ready to back down either. The Saudis continue to reiterate their position that either Assad must go peacefully or he will be removed by force… Saudi Arabia is prepared to send troops to Syria if President Bashar Assad doesn’t resign and leave his war-torn nation peacefully. Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir warned Sunday that his country will take military action if Syria violates the terms of a ceasefire agreement. “I believe that abiding by the truce would be an important indicator of the seriousness to reach a peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis that would include setting up a transitional council and the transfer of power from Bashar to this council,” he said during a joint press conference with his Danish counterpart Kristian Jensen in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. Al-Jubeir warned that Saudi Arabia has prepared a “Plan B.” If “the coalition decided to send ground troops into Syria, Saudi Arabia is ready to contribute,” he said.

The goal since 2011 has been to get rid of Assad so that Syria could become a full-fledged Sunni nation with a Sunni government. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and their allies have poured enormous amounts of money and resources into this conflict, and they don’t appear to be willing to walk away now that the tide of the war has turned. In fact, how the Saudis have been behaving lately has been causing a tremendous amount of anxiety in the Middle East… Saudi Arabia’s recent actions have caused a great deal of anxiety within its region. On February 4, a military spokesman suggested that Saudi Arabia was ready to send troops ground troops to fight ISIS in Syria. A week later Saudi Arabia announced that it will send combat aircraft and soldiers to Turkey to participate in the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS. Three days later the Saudis launched “Northern Thunder,” described as the “largest military exercise in the history of the Middle East.” Participants from 20 countries sent troops to the maneuvers run over three weeks in Hafar al Batin in northern Saudi Arabia, not far from the Iraqi and Kuwaiti border. According to a Saudi media outlet, some 350,000 troops were expected to participate in the maneuvers. So if Saudi Arabia, Turkey and their allies are preparing for war, then what is the purpose of the ceasefire? Well, first of all the goal was to stop the bleeding. The Sunni militants were losing ground steadily, and this pause will enable them to regroup and get resupplied. Secondly, this pause in the action gives “the coalition” time to move forces into position for a potential ground invasion of Syria. But more than anything else, this ceasefire seems to be a trap. It appears to be inevitable that the U.S. and other western powers will accuse Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and the Syrian government of breaking the ceasefire, thus providing “legal justification” for “the coalition” to militarily intervene. Watch developments in Syria very closely. Many had hoped that this ceasefire would bring the five year civil war to an end, but the truth is that it could just be setting the stage for something far, far bigger.

Inequality at levels “not seen since the Great Depression”

A report published by the union-backed Ontario Common Front paints a harrowing portrait of the social devastation inflicted on the province’s working class and poor over the course of a single generation. Titled “Falling Behind”, the report documents the impact of years of right-wing government policies that have laid waste to the jobs and living standards of working Ontarians, producing levels of social inequality not seen since the Great Depression. The report places responsibility for this social disaster on provincial governments both past and present, which have implemented anti-worker policies in the service of big business. Figures included in the report demonstrate that tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy and years of social spending cuts have crippled public services such as health care and education. The resulting crises, such as overcrowded hospitals, skyhigh post-secondary tuition fees, the shuttering

The gap between rich and poor widens of community service organizations, and the slashing of social assistance funds, are then blamed on government “waste” and “inefficiency” and used to justify privatization and still greater cuts. Although the report points to the depth of the social crisis facing millions of Ontario workers, it omits the central role played by the unions and the New Democratic Party (NDP) in facilitating this situation, and thus only tells half the story. Among some of the starkest findings in the report are the following:

percent—600,000 Ontario families—experienced stagnating or declining incomes, while the wealthiest 10 percent saw their incomes rise by an average 41 percent. * Public spending per capita in Ontario is the lowest in the country, at C$9,000 per person. * Almost 400,000 Ontarians used food banks in 2011. * Almost one quarter of unemployed Ontarians are out of work for six months or longer. * Child care costs and university tuition fees in Ontario are the highest in the country.

* At 12 percent of its workforce, Ontario has the highest proportion of minimum wage workers (C$11.25 per hour) in the country. * In 2009, 13.1 percent of Ontarians, or 1,689,000 people, lived under the poverty line, including 14.6 percent of all children. * Between 1976 and 2004, the bottom 40

The gap between the wealthiest and the poorest in Ontario is now at its greatest since the 1930s. The ruling class of Ontario, like its counterparts at the national and international level, has accomplished this by effecting a massive transfer of wealth from the bottom to the top, using the 2008 financial crisis as a pretext to accelerate its austerity drive.

Between 1976 and 2004, the chasm between the rich and poor grew ever wider. In 1976, the wealthiest 10 percent of Ontarians earned “just” 27 times more than the poorest 10 percent. By 2004, this had exploded to 75 times more. In the span of one generation, the top 10 percent have experienced a 41 percent increase in net wealth, but the poorest 10 percent have suffered a staggering 150 percent decline. With almost one third of Ontarians earning within C$4 of the miserable C$11.25per-hour minimum wage and the price of necessities such as housing, food, and utilities steadily rising, workers and their families increasingly find it difficult to meet basic expenses. The relentless drive of the banks and corporations to increase profits, in addition to the anemic nature of the so-called economic recovery, has led to the shedding of 318,000 manufacturing jobs since 2000. At least 270,000 new jobs would be required

21

to merely return Ontario’s employment numbers to their pre-recession levels. Instead, corporations have done the opposite, with major layoffs taking place on a monthly basis. Kathleen Wynne’s Liberal government and its Conservative and NDP predecessors have delivered decades of austerity. In 2012, the Liberals, led by then-premier Dalton McGuinty, initiated the greatest spending cuts in the province’s history, dwarfing those made by the hated Harris Conservatives in the late 1990s. When the Liberals took office in 2003, they essentially maintained the massive tax cuts for the rich and super-rich, as well as the savage cuts to welfare rates, which had been implemented by their Conservative predecessors. As a result of these cuts to public services, which include a three-year public spending freeze that began last year and C$7 billion in cuts over the past five years, the social services on which millions of Ontario workers depend have been gutted to the point of near-collapse. Ontario’s hospitals are the most underfunded in the country, and Ontarians pay more for health care expenses than residents of any other province. More than 30,000 Ontarians at any given moment are waiting for a hospital bed or long-term care, and hospitals regularly operate at or above full capacity. Social and community services have been hollowed out as a result of drastic budget cuts. Wages within this sector have fallen precipitously as a result of

these cuts, to the point that many workers in this sector are forced to use the same services and resources they administer. “Falling Behind” repudiates the incessant gloating of government and big business representatives about the merits of the “free market” in creating a “just and equitable

society.” The real picture that emerges is that of debilitating poverty and hardship for the vast majority of Ontario’s workers, and a feeding frenzy of unprecedented proportions for the wealthy. At the same time, the Ontario Common Front, which is comprised of 90 community organizations and led by the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL), maintains an indefensible silence about the role played by the trade unions and the NDP in facilitating this crisis. If “Falling Behind” is a list of crimes perpetrated against the province’s workers and poor, then it is also an implicit indictment of the treachery of the union bureaucracy and the middle class “left.” The Ontario Common Front was created by the trade union bureaucracy in the

wake of the 2011 Occupy protests as a way to corral oppositional and anti-austerity sentiment back behind the pro-capitalist perspective of the union bureaucracy. The participating community groups were solicited so as to give a left-wing gloss to the unions’ thoroughly right-wing nationalist politics. The unions, while historically tied to the social-democratic NDP, have in one shape or another supported the Liberals’ bids for power since 1998 [http:// www.wsws.org/en/ articles/2014/06/14/ onta-j14.html], when many major unions created the Ontario’s Working Families Coalition to muster votes for the Liberals. Driven by fear of the explosive social power of the working class, which threatened to escape their control during the mass anti-Conservative protests between 1995 and 1997, the unions shifted further to the right, playing a critical role in bringing the big business Liberals to power in Queen’s Park. The stock-in-trade of the union bureaucracy is the promotion of “strategic voting,” urging support for the “lesser evil” Liberals to prevent a hard-right Conservative government. Once in power, the Liberals invariably implement rightwing policies as demanded by the corporations and financial houses that line Bay Street. Similarly, the NDP and its pseudo-left supporters, while posing as opponents of austerity and allies of the working class, represent the interests of a thin and affluent middle class layer.

Dependent on the capitalist system for their privileged social status and hostile to socialism and the interests of the working class, they have rapidly shed their left-wing pretensions in response to the economic crisis and the resurgence of working class opposition to capitalism. For 18 months between 2012 and 2014, Andrea Horwath’s NDP was in a de facto coalition with the Liberals, enabling the passage of McGuinty’s devastating austerity budget and its use of strikebreaking legislation to impose a cut in teachers’ real wages. Over the opposition of the unions, Horwath only pulled her party’s support in May 2014 in an attempt to salvage what was left of the NDP’s tattered left credentials. This, however, did not prevent the NDP from running its most right-wing campaign ever in the ensuing election.

An exposure of the sordid machinations of the unions and the NDP would completely undermine the Ontario Common Front’s legitimacy, existing as it does as a tool of the union bureaucracy. Dylan Lubao

The Collapse Of Italy’s Banks Threatens To Plunge The European Financial System Into Chaos

what is happening. Italian banks are absolutely drowning in nonperforming loans, and as Jeffrey Moore has noted, this potentially represents “the greatest threat to the world’s already burdened financial system”… Shares of Italy’s largest financial institutions have plummeted in the opening months of 2016 as piles of bad debt on their balance sheets become too high to ignore. Amid all of the risks facing EU members in 2016, the risk of contagion from Italy’s troubled banks poses the greatest threat to the world’s already burdened financial system. At the core of the issue is the concerning level of Non-Performing Loans (NPL’s) on banks’ books, with estimates ranging from 17% to 21% of total lending. This amounts to approximately €200 billion of NPL’s, or 12% of Italy’s GDP. Moreover, in some cases, bad loans make up an alarming 30% of individual banks’ balance sheets. Things have already gotten so bad that the European Central

23

Bank is now monitoring liquidity levels at Monte dei Paschi and Carige on a daily basis. The following comes from Reuters… The European Central Bank is checking liquidity levels at a number of Italian banks, including Banca Carige and Monte dei Paschi di Siena , on a daily basis, two sources close to the matter said on Monday. Italian banking shares have fallen sharply since the start of the year amid market concerns about some 360 billion euros of bad loans on their books and weak capital levels. The ECB has been putting pressure on several Italian banks to improve their capital position. The regulator can decide to monitor liquidity levels at any bank it supervises on a weekly or daily basis if it has any concern about deposits or funding. A run on the big Italian banks has already begun. Italians have already been quietly pulling billions of euros out of the banking system, and if these banks continue to crumble this “stealth run” could quickly become a stampede. And of course panic in Italy would quickly spread to other financially troubled members of the eurozone such as Spain, Portugal, Greece and France. Here is some additional analysis from Jeffrey Moore… A deteriorating financial crisis in Italy could risk repercussions across the EU exponentially greater than those spurred by Greece. The ripple effects of market turmoil and the potential for dangerous precedents being set by EU authorities in panicked response to that turmoil, could ignite yet more latent financial

vulnerabilities in fragile EU members such as Spain and Portugal. Unfortunately, most Americans are completely blinded to what is going on in the rest of the world because stocks in the U.S. have had a really good run for the past couple of weeks. Headlines are declaring that the risk of a new recession “has passed” and that the crisis “is over”. Meanwhile, South America is plunging into a full-blown depression, the Italian banking system is melting down, global manufacturing numbers are the worst that we have seen since the last recession, and global trade is absolutely imploding. Other than that, things are pretty good. Seriously, it is absolutely critical that we don’t allow ourselves to be fooled by every little wave of momentum in the stock market. It is a fact that sales and profits for U.S. corporations are declining. This is a trend that began all the way back in mid2014 and that has accelerated during the early stages of 2016. The following comes from Wolf Richter… Total US business sales – not just sales by S&P 500 companies but also sales by small caps and all other businesses, even those that are not publicly traded – peaked in July 2014 at $1.365 trillion, according to the Census Bureau. By December 2015, total business sales were down 4.6% from that peak. A bad 18 months for sales! They’re back where they’d first been in January 2013! Sales by S&P 500 companies dropped 3.8% in 2015, according to FactSet, the worst year since the Financial Crisis. I know that a lot of people have been eagerly anticipating a complete and total global economic collapse for a long time,

and many of them just want to “get it over with”. Well, the truth is that nobody should want to see what is coming. Personally, I rejoice for every extra day, week or month we are given. Every extra day is another day to prepare, and every extra day is another day to enjoy the extremely comfortable standard of living that our debt-fueled prosperity has produced for us. Most Americans have absolutely no idea how spoiled we really are. Even just fifty years ago, life was so much harder in this country. If we had to go back and live the way that Americans did 100 or 150 years ago, there are very few of us that would be able to successfully do that. So enjoy the remaining days of debtfueled prosperity while you still can, because great change is coming, and it is going to be extremely bitter for most of the population.

False Flags Michael Snyder Throughout history, governments have staged attacks on their own people in order to place the blame on their enemies. These kinds of attacks are known as “false flags”, and they are often used to justify military action. As I will explain below, it appears that we may have just seen a “false flag” attack in Turkey. The Turks needed justification for bombarding the Kurds in northern Syria, and right on cue there was a “terror attack” in Ankara. During the weeks to come, will we see more “false flag” attacks that will be

used to justify a fullblown ground invasion of Syria? If you are not familiar with this concept, the following is how Wikipedia defines a “false flag”… The contemporary term false flag describes covert operations that are designed to deceive in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by entities, groups, or nations other than those who actually planned and executed them. The bomb attacks that killed 28 people in Ankara last week may have been an example of just such an attack. It is entirely possible that the PKK or the Syrian Kurds could have been

responsible for the bombing. However, to me it seems at least as likely that the Turkish government set up this attack in order to blame the Kurds. Turkey had already been mercilessly shelling the Kurds in northern Syria anyway, and after the bombing in Ankara there is now a lot more support inside Turkey for further military action against the Kurds. The following comes from Reuters… Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu blamed a Syrian Kurdish militia fighter working with Kurdish militants inside Turkey for a suicide car bombing that killed 28 people in the capital Ankara, and he vowed retaliation in both

Syria and Iraq. A car laden with explosives detonated next to military buses as they waited at traffic lights near Turkey’s armed forces’ headquarters, parliament and government buildings in the administrative heart of Ankara late on Wednesday. Davutoglu said the attack was clear evidence that the YPG, a Syrian Kurdish militia that has been supported by the United States in the fight against Islamic State in northern Syria, was a terrorist organization and that Turkey, a NATO member, expected cooperation from its allies in combating the group. Prior to that attack, it would have been difficult for Turkey

27

Isn’t that convenient? Everyone knew that Turkey wanted to do something to stop the advance of the Kurds in northern Syria, and now this bombing in Ankara gives them the perfect excuse to take dramatic military action. But a bombing blamed on the Kurds is not going to give Turkey, Saudi Arabia and their allies justification to launch a full-blown ground invasion of the entire country. In order for that to happen, more false flags will probably be necessary – especially if they want the United States to be involved. Right now, the people have very little interest in a way in Syria. But if there was some sort of major terror attack in this country that could be blamed on ISIS, that would do much to shift public opinion. Of course since the Russians, the Iranians and Hezbollah are all already inside Syria helping the Assad

regime fight the radical Sunni militants that are being backed by Saudi Arabia and Turkey, a full-blown ground invasion could very easily be the spark that begins World War 3. This would be true even if the United States did not participate in the ground invasion. The following comes from USA Today… A war between Russia and Turkey would put the United States, and Europe, in an uncomfortable position. Since Turkey remains a NATO ally (though a shakier one than in the past), war between Turkey and Russia could easily suck us in. And if Turkey and Russia went to war while NATO stayed on the sidelines, the NATO alliance would be weakened. (Yes, the NATO treaty technically doesn’t obligate us to support Turkey in a war that Turkey starts, but a reliance on such niceties wouldn’t make NATO look stronger). There had been hope that a cease-fire would

bring some stability to the situation in Syria, but a series of suicide bombings by ISIS on Sunday has really put a damper on that…

If the cease-fire had been successful, that would have lessened the urgency that Saudi Arabia and Turkey feel to get directly involved in the conflict. But now that the cease-fire looks like it is not going to hold, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are going to feel more pressure to move in and rescue the radical Sunni militants that they have been backing for the last five years. In order to do that, they are probably going to need some sort of “big event” which will give them justification in the eyes of the world to conduct a massive ground invasion of Syria.

The Islamic State asserted responsibility for bombings on Sunday that killed dozens of people in two Syrian government strongholds, casting a shadow over intensified diplomatic efforts to broker a cease-fire to the civil war. At least three explosions struck a suburb south of the capital, Damascus, leaving 50 people dead near the Sayyida Zeinab shrine that is revered by Shiite Muslims, according to Syrian state television. The area is a highprofile target for extremist Sunni groups So will that “big event” such as the Islamic be some sort of a false State, which rejects flag attack? Shiites as apostates. Bombings earlier in the We will just have to day also targeted the wait and see what city of Homs, killing happens… at least 34 people, according to the area’s John Doe / Occupation governor, Talal alJohn Doe / Occupation Barazi.

a d n a — n io t a g e r g e s , Torture e w s s le lia n e d in t n e m govern forget Devon Black

In 2007, 19-year-old Ashley Smith killed herself. Prior to her death, she spent more than 1,000 days in what’s called “administrative segregation” — the Canadian euphemism for solitary confinement. Smith’s death was supposed to be a wake-up call — an impossible-to-ignore signal that Canadian prisons were failing their mentally-ill inmates, and that our system of solitary confinement was terribly, indisputably broken. “ The placement of federal inmates in solitary confinement is “cruel and usual punishment” in Canada’s prisons and should be severely curtailed, says a new editorial in the nation’s leading medical journal.” National Post Instead, the government waited until the end of last year to finally issue a response to the findings of the coroner’s inquiry on Smith’s death. That response was essentially a restatement of Corrections Services Canada’s position on solitary confinement, with a few weak gestures towards improving the system.

The real meat of the coroner’s inquiry’s findings was ignored: specifically, the

federal government flatly dismissed the recommendations that indefinite administrative segregation be abolished, and that long-term segregation not exceed 15 consecutive days. Apparently, “the Government is unable to fully support (those recommendations) without causing undue risk to the safe management of the federal correctional system.” Safe management for whom, exactly? Because since Smith’s death, suicides and self-harm by inmates in administrative segregation haven’t exactly stopped. Edward Snowshoe spent 162 consecutive days in segregation before he killed himself in 2010. He was 24 years old. Over an eight-month period in 2012 and 2013, three inmates in segregation were found dead at Mountain Institution near Chilliwack. According to the Office of the Correctional Investigator’s 2011-2012 annual report, “close to one-third of reported self-injury incidents (in federal prisons) occurred in segregation units.” The John Howard Society of Canada and the B.C. Civil Liberties Association have decided that waiting for the federal government to update their policies on administrative segregation is a fool’s errand. Instead, they’ve filed a challenge in the B.C. Supreme Court alleging that solitary confinement, as used in Canada, violates several key provisions of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This particular challenge isn’t exactly a surprise. As far back as 2011, UN Special Rapporteur on Torture Juan Mendéz named solitary confinement as a practice that can amount to torture. Mendéz told the UN General Assembly’s

committee on social, humanitarian and cultural affairs that the practice of holding prisoners in isolation should be banned completely as a punishment technique. Solitary confinement is being used to conceal the fact that our prisons – overcrowded and overburdened by the government’s tough-on-crime policies – cannot accomplish even the most basic aspects of what we expect them to do. Corrections Services Canada has sidestepped that recommendation by claiming that administrative segregation isn’t used as punishment. Instead, in their response to the coroner’s inquiry on Ashley Smith’s death, CSC said administrative segregation is “an interim population management measure” used “to facilitate an investigation or to protect the safety and security of individuals and/or the institution.” Sure it is. And of course, there’s no potential for abuse in a system where the final decision about keeping an inmate in isolation is left to the exclusive discretion of the prison head. Because we’ve refused to sign on to the UN’s Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture, we don’t even require an independent review of decisions to keep inmates in isolation. But how is it more humane to argue that segregation is being used as an “interim population management measure”? If it were being used as punishment, at least there would be some rational connection between behaviour and being placed in isolation. Instead, inmates are placed in administrative segregation for reasons ranging from the ridiculous to the heartbreaking. The Toronto South

29

Detention Centre, for instance, opened a year ago. The new mega-jail includes an infirmary and a 26-bed unit for patients with mental health problems – but neither one has been operative since the centre opened. As of this past December, 21 inmates with medical issues were instead being kept in segregation at that facility alone. So prisoners could end up in segregation for the crime of catching the flu. At the same time, even CSC admits that prisons have become a last resort for people with mental illnesses who have come into contact with the law. In an overtaxed, under-resourced system, it’s inevitable that “problem” inmates will end up in segregation, instead of in treatment. “Noting that there are 850 offenders in isolation on any given day — a 6.4% increase over the past five years — the editorial in the Canadian Medical Association Journal said the lack of stimulation and social interaction can lead to anxiety, depression and anger and increases the risk of self-harm and suicide.” National Post This isn’t what a successful prison system looks like. For people without mental illness, too much time in solitary confinement can lead to mental health problems. For people with pre-existing mental illness, isolation can aggravate those issues. The result is a vicious cycle, in which troubled inmates are shunted to segregation, which aggravates their mental health issues, which makes them more likely to end up back in segregation in the future. When one in four federal prisoners spends at least some time in isolation, clearly the goal of using administrative segregation as a last resort is not being met. Instead, it’s being used to conceal the fact that our prisons – overcrowded and overburdened by the government’s tough-on-crime policies – cannot accomplish even the most basic aspects of

what we expect them to do. Prison is supposed to be a punishment, yes – but it’s also supposed to be a place where inmates can be rehabilitated, where they can heal and prepare themselves to get their lives back on track. Leaving prisoners in isolation for weeks, months, even years, is punishment that rises to the level of being cruel and unusual; it’s certainly not a practice that promotes rehabilitation. It shouldn’t take a court case to protect Canadian inmates from cruel and unusual punishment. We should be able to depend on our policy-makers to do that for us. In this case, our policy-makers clearly have abandoned that

responsibility. Hopefully this court case will remind them of their obligations – to prisoners, and to the communities they’ll come home to once their prison terms are up. iPolitics.ca

HOUSING

BUBBLE

The Canadian housing market has done extremely well for a very long time. As such, many people expect the trend to continue. That said, there are major vulnerabilities in the Canadian economy that pose a threat to the housing market’s continued success. In the following report we will examine the economy, the financial position of households, the housing market and the risks facing it. Lastly, we will analyze the mortgage market and Mortgage Investment Corporations (MICs). We are not convinced that the housing market is about to crash. Nonetheless, we remain extremely cautious. Canadian Housing & Mortgage Investment Corporations – Overview 2015 was a rough year for Canada as falling commodities, specifically oil, filtered through to the rest of the economy. In real terms, GDP has been almost flat since late 2014 – shortly after oil started its long decline. The economy, however, is still holding up. Part of the reason for its resilience has been the strength of the housing market. Two regions have been leading the pack – the Greater Vancouver Area (GVA) and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). According to the Canadian Real Estate Assohome prices increased by 17.83% and 10.29% from Nov’14 to Nov’15 in the GVA and GTA, respectively.

2015 was a rough year for Canada as falling commodities, specifically oil, filtered through to the rest of the economy. In real terms, GDP has been almost flat since late 2014 – shortly after oil started its long decline

31

And that is just for the past year. We will get into more details laterin this report. For now, it is important to realize that the Canadian housing market has been booming for a long time. There are, however, serious risks to its continued progress that we wish to explore… Excessive Debt Our dependence on commodities is one thing. Our reliance on debt is another. The first “vulnerability” the Bank of Canada (BoC) mentioned in its Financial System Review for Dec’15 was excess household debt. Remarkably low interest rates have encouraged borrowing. What is concerning is that individuals have been borrowing to spend on housing. As a result, debt growth has outpaced income growth. The following chart indicates that the debt-toincome ratio (red line) has continued to edge higher:

This trend calls into question the sustainability of rising home prices. When prices go up, people are required to borrow more to afford housing. This makes them more vulnerable to corrections and bear markets because asset values can fall while debts values remain the same. More debt is not always a bad thing. Unfortunately, according to the BoC, “debt has become more concentrated in the hands of more highly indebted younger households, who may have less capacity to cope financially with a job loss or an unexpected interest rate increase”. The next graph confirms that a large share of the increase in household debt is attributable to highly indebted households under the age of 45.

D A N I E L L E

32

For the purposes of this report, highly indebted households are those whose debt-to-income ratios exceed 350% (or the pink and red segments in the previous image). These households held ~21% of all household debt from 2012-14. This is concerning because their financial positions tend to be relatively bad. The ensuing table demonstrates that highly indebted households: 1 Tend to have lower income and wealth, 2 Are younger, 3 Are less likely to have a bachelor’s degree and 4 Are more likely to live in BC, AB or ON. These numbers are problematic because adverse economic events will reduce their ability to service their debts.

Overheating Housing Debt and housing are inextricably linked, so it comes as no surprise that the BoC also highlights housing as an area of concern. Mortgages represented more than three-quarters of the increase in household debt from 2012-14. The circular issue for Canadian housing is that leverage is driving house prices, which necessitates more leverage. The danger is, of course, that falling house prices lead to rising defaults (and vice versa). In that case, collateral values would drop, resulting in losses not only for the homeowners, but also for lenders (principal) and mortgage insurers. Nonetheless, the Canadian housing market is not homogeneous. For one, there is a trifurcation among 1) British Columbia and Ontario, 2) Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland and Labrador and 3) The rest of Canada. The following diagram shows that resale activity and price growth have been much stronger in BC and ON than anywhere else. It is also important to note that weakness in the commodityrelated economy is filtering through to housing. In AB, SK and NL, annualized resales are down and prices are contracting.

Moreover, rental vacancy rates in those areas are rising. Another notable fact is that the GVA and GTA account for one-third of the Canadian housing market’s value and onethird of the mortgage market’s value. Higher property values and incomes are to be expected in big cities. That said, if one or both of those regions begin to roll over economically then the rest of the country and the financial system will be under pressure.

Major Risks As we have outlined, the Canadian economy and housing market appear vulnerable. That is not to say that we are about to go into a prolonged recession; however, there are substantial risks that could push us in that direction. One risk is that mortgage rates will rise, escalating the cost of debt service. This would be negative for the economy because it would put even more pressure on our highly indebted households. However, in our view, that is not very likely. Although the U.S. is moving towards tighter monetary policy, Canada is not. Moreover, 5-year yields, which most mortgage rates are tied to, are low and seem well contained. Our economy is already suffering because of weakness in the oil patch. As such, we do not expect the Bank of Canada to raise rates anytime soon. The other risk is that the country goes into recession as a result of continued weakness in commodities and lower demand from the emerging markets. In this case, broader and increasing unemployment would reduce the ability of households to service their debts. This would be particularly bad for the highly leveraged households we referred to earlier. Our view is that housing is increasingly being purchased using a “cash flow” model whereby consumers determine the total cost of the property based on their ability to service the monthly mortgage payments, disregarding the absolute levels of debt they will take on to do so. A purchaser who is able to spend $1000/month on a mortgage can service a $170,000 mortgage at 5% (with a 25-year amortization period). Drop the interest rate to 2.5%, and that same $1000/month now services anextpage $230,000 mortgage. A standard 25% down payment would drive the price of a house from $266,600 to $306,000. And that assumes the purchaser does not choose to spend more than the $1000/ month. Low interest costs have made housing seem more affordable than it actually is. As you can see in the following

33

chart, the interest only debt service ratio (red line), which measures interest payments relative to debt, has been in decline since Q1 of 1990. Meanwhile, the total debt service ratio (blue line), which includes both principal and debt, has been relatively flat for the past eight years. This means that people are taking on, and paying for, more principal than they did in the past. The CMHC has made some real steps to curb this by limiting amortization periods to 25 years and by increasing minimum required down payments. Both of these actions force borrowers to pay down their debts faster. Even so, the reality is that debt loads are already very high. Mortgage rates are determined by the bond market. With the benchmark Canada 5-year bond yield at 0.65%, borrowing rates could go lower, but not by much. While we don’t foresee materially higher rates in the near term, we feel the tailwind of dropping rates is played out. A weaker employment backdrop would make debt service even more difficult than it already is. If that transpired then we would expect defaults to rise and home prices to fall. That would have a negative impact on household wealth with debt/ asset ratios rising due to falling assets. This would also be negative for consumption since rising defaults would cause both lenders and spenders to retrench. Economic weakness is evident in Alberta and Saskatchewan. If it spreads to the rest of the country then we would be especially cautious about the housing market. The Mortgage Market As of May 2015, the total amount of mortgages outstanding was $1.5 trillion, 87% of which was residential. The vast majority (85-90%) of these mortgages are originated by federally or provincially regulated entities. Only ~5% are originated by unregulated lenders. Still, mortgage credit growth at less-regulated entities continues to be strong. This is worrisome because, for these lenders, there are no legislated reserve requirements or limitations on LTV ratios. As such, it is reasonable to assume that they deal with riskier mortgages . Mortgage Investment Corporations Mortgage investment corporations (MICs) account for the majority of unregulated mortgage lending in Canada. Fundamental Research Corporation built a database of 72 entities that operate as MICs or have similar structures. They found that their total holdings amount to at least $6.74 billion or 0.45% of the total market. MICs specialize in short term (6 to 24 months), high yield mortgages. At least 40% of their assets must be invested in residential mortgages, cash and CDIC insured deposits. They pay no corporate tax and act as

a flow through entity – i.e. they payout 100% of their income as distributions to investors (who are left with the tax burden). As such, the value of their shares should remain the same unless they suffer capital losses. MICs earn interest and fees (origination, renewal and cancelation) from borrowers. In order to fund themselves, MICs borrow from banks and issue equity to investors. We consider MICs riskier than other housing derivatives for reasons we will address later in this paper. Still, there are multiple differences between firms. We are building a proprietary database which compares both private and public MICs on a variety of metrics. Here is a brief summary of our findings: MICs vary in terms of… • Fund size: Some public firms are closing in on $500 million AUM while other private ones have fewer than $50 million under management • The number of loans: Some firms have hundreds of them while others have fewer than 30 • Allocations towards first and second mortgages: First mortgages are safer than second mortgages because they represent a priority claim on the property that secures the mortgage • Average loan-to-value ratios (LTV): Range from ~35% to >70% • Average loan size: Ranges from <$100,000 to $7,500,000 • Average term: Ranges from 0.6 to 4.9 years • Geographic exposure: Most companies tend to focus on Ontario, but to varying degrees Like all investments, MICs vary in quality. Some are geared to maximize income while others emphasize capital preservation. Even so, we are cautious on the space as a whole. The two biggest risks for MICs are non-performing loans (NPLs) and fraud. These firms have been performing well in recent years; however, it is important to consider the underlying fundamentals of real estate in general. The Canadian housing market has been in a bull market for a long time. If unemployment rises and home prices fall then it is reasonable to assume that the number of NPLs will increase. Fraud is also an elevated risk because of the lack of oversight in the unregulated market – both on the lending side and the investment side. We are also skeptical about MICs for structural reasons. One issue is that they are reliant on financing to grow. In addition, managers have an incentive to grow their asset base because they are mostly paid based on AUM. Since all profits are paid out, asset growth has to come from making new loans. This makes MICs vulnerable to falling demand from investors, rising borrowing and financing costs and waning support from the banks. Another problem is a lack of loan-loss reserves. The Office of the Superintendent of Finance (OSFI), the regulator overseeing the MIC structure, requires that substantially all profits are paid out to investors, leaving little in the way

34

D A N I E L L E of reserves to protect against defaults. If defaults rise then mortgage values will be impaired and MICs will have limited means to protect their holdings. In our opinion, that would result in immediate gating (when the fund does not allow redemptions). For example, one of the firms we looked at had a $3.6 million provision for losses at the end of Q3’15 vs. $459 million of mortgages receivable. Conclusion Canada is vulnerable because its households are heavily indebted and its housing market is overheated. The CMHC just released its quarterly Housing Market Assessment report, which found the following among its conclusions: “Overvaluation and overbuilding are the most prevalent problematic conditions observed across the 15 centres covered by the HMA. Overvaluation is detected in 8 centres

while overbuilding is detected in 7”. The major risk is that the economy falters and unemployment rises, leading to deterioration in the household’s ability to service their monthly mortgage payments. In terms of MICs, we remain guarded. We would not advise chasing for yield at the expense of stringent lending standards, and would favour the most transparent structures as well. Yes, there are vast differences in quality across the space. Nonetheless, we would expect them to underperform relative to other housing investments if and when the market begins to weaken. RENT A BOUNCE HOUSE A bounce house can be an extremely cost effective way to provide hours of entertainment for your guests. Bounce house rentals are available nationwide and there are hundreds of options to choose from when renting a bounce house. Over the next few days, I’ll be providing tips on what to watch out for regarding renting a jumper. There are several things to keep in mind before renting a jumper. The most important thing to keep in mind, Price isn’t everything! The old saying, “The cheap comes out expensive” could not be more applicable than in the bouncy castle industry. There is a reason why some companies are drastically cheaper than their competitors. The main reasons some companies are extremely cheap are: Cheap companies are usually not insured. It is very expensive for a bounce house company to insure each and every one of their bouncers. If there is an accident in your rented bounce house and the company is not insured, “YOU WILL BE SUED PERSONALLY!” Make sure the jump house company is insured by providing an Additional Insured Certificate naming you or your organization. By the way, most homeowner’s insurance policies specifically exclude coverage for bouncy castles. So, you’re probably not protected by your homeowner’s insurance. If a bounce house company is hesitant to give you an additional insured certificate or if

they tell you that you don’t need one, then they are usually not insured. If the jumper company wants to charge you extra money for the insurance certificate, then they are probably not insured. Any professional party rental company who is insured not only has commercial general liability insurance but they are proud of that fact. Usually, an insured bouncer company will promote the fact that they are insured. But don’t just ask for an additional insured certificate. Ask for the insurance agent’s name and phone number and follow up with the insurance agent. A common trick in the party rental industry is to only insure a couple of pieces of equipment but then show an insurance certificate for an uninsured item. Contact the insurance agent and ask them if the specific item you want to rent is insured or not. Any professional, customer-service oriented party rental company will gladly provide the information you have requested. If they don’t provide that information, then they are not

properly insured. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE COMPANIES! You will be held financially liable if someone is hurt and your future financial and emotional well-being is in jeopardy. Rent a bounce house for your next party but don’t let something as minor as lack of insurance turn your special event into a nightmare. Avoid looking for the cheapest company. Saving a few bucks now may end up costing you hundreds of thousands of dollars later in a worst-case scenario. Avoid the stress of worrying about your guests not being protected in case of an injury. Make sure to hire a professional, insured jumper company when you make your next party rental reservation. Douglas Sutter

Agenda 21

The Club of Rome, a Private Environmental Think-Tank, with Consultants to the United Nations, established in 1968 and made up of extremely wealthy individuals backed by specialists, produced their first report in 1968. The following quote is enough to give you an example of what they had in mind. Remember this was the very first mention of pollution and global warming. “In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.”

So you heard about the UN Agenda 21, and Sustainable Development? Well seeing that you did hear about it, I assume that you did not give it much attention, or read the thousands and thousands of pages that make up several volumes of reports, plans and predictions, that apparently show us the way we must go to sustain this earth for future generations. Well to tell you the truth I have not read those thousands of pages either, as it would take many months to read all the reports, but I have read enough to understand what the objectives are, and more importantly who is involved. I am always sceptical when big corporations and banks become involved, because they do not give two hoots about the earth, or about people. All one has to do is look at their history to date. Anyhow I decided to take a deeper look at this fabulous plan for mankind, as I knew damn all about it, and my 7 year-old grandchildren were always talking about biodiversity. At first glance Agenda 21 looks and sounds rational and logical, but unfortunately the devil is in the detail. Agenda 21 was originally set up to look into the future and see where we were all heading in the 21st century, something similar to gazing into a crystal ball. Not a bad idea on the face of it, but when you examine the first draft of it, and who wrote it, then your suspicions are raised.

So it was 45 years ago when the world was a completely different place a “new enemy” was created. This Think-Tank began to consult with the UN, trying to get it to adapt to this new way of thinking, in other words they created new fears, and so the seeds of the greatest programme for mankind were sown. Eventually the UN agreed to look into these. In 1987 the UN commissioned two people to look at the feasibility of better controlling global resources, and to come up with solutions that would minimise the human impact on those resources. Those two people were Ms. Gro Brundtland a former Communist Swedish Prime Minister, who was Vice President of the Socialist International organisation, whose aims are a Socialist/Marxist agenda, and a guy called Maurice Strong who was onetime president of Globe Petroleum, later a director of the Environment Programme, and then Chairman of the World Wildlife Foundation. At one stage he purchased 200,000 acres of land that included a huge mass of fresh water lakes, and promptly began to sell this water to the surrounding State Authorities. He later got into trouble over some arms deals. Well these two were commissioned by the UN to plot a course of action for the world into the 21stcentury. They came up with a comprehensive plan of action to be adopted globally, nationally, and locally by organisations of the UN system, that encompassed every area of human impact on the environment. Millions were donated to get every agency, NGO, and university to come up with their own proposals and plans that were going to take over from God, and come up with a survival plan based on that first report.

D A N I E L L E

38

It does appear a bit unusual when people with Communistic/Marxist backgrounds begin appearing with report after report that is duly supported by the majority of groups involved. It is a bit questionable as to why or how these two people were commissioned to do the first report. Was there a hidden agenda, or had the UN been duped by large foundation donations? It appears that this is the case, as most of the subsequent so- called partners had no objections towards such a tendency. Communism or Capitalism are never mentioned, because the proposed new system was not State Communism like the old USSR, where the state controlled everything, and neither was it a pure Capitalist system either. It could only be described as Corporate Marxist hybrid, where global corporations controlled everything including human capital. In 1990 the International Council for Local Environment Initiative (ICLEI) was formed, and this organisation eventually produced proposals that would break down the hierarchy of state government into smaller and smaller units of power. County Councils would be granted powers previously only granted to elected representatives. Local Area Communities would be set up, and selected brainwashed locals of good standing would steer these communities towards the proposed goals. Each neighbourhood was to have its local committee or neighbourhood watch who would oversee that their human activities did not infringe upon the new rules and regulations, and would be rewarded for snitching on their neighbours if they stepped out of line. Donations in support of ICLEI poured in from various suspicious organisations whose agendas were really hidden in plain sight. The Open Society Institute contributed $2 million, and further support came from such out and out communists as Van Jones of the

“Green for All” organisation, the Tides Foundation, the Apollo Alliance, and Annie Leonard a wealthy American proponent of sustainability. This group produced volumes of new proposals on how this agenda was to be implemented at the root level of society, namely the primary education level. It was designed to “educate” our young children on the basic issues such as sustainability and biodiversity, thus setting the foundations for a “properly educated” obedient society within

twenty years. Potential Leaders with particular “leadership skills and personalities” would be selected in every sub-group, and these would be trained and funded by public/private money. After a period of training (programming) they would be placed into the different levels of all groups, to steer decisions in matters concerning those groups. In other words it was to be built from the ground up, starting with our own local communities, by examining Social Justice, Inequality, and Biodiversity, and a total transformation of our society by a wide variety of means. They stated that, “Our green future will be invented at the local level with the power of communities”. They also stated, “ Facts and information will no longer be the primary purpose of education.” Another quote, “The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values.”

This was really a social rearrangement of education, equality, global citizenship, family units, housing design, health systems, transport, regeneration, biodiversity, all brought about by agents for change who would be well paid and trained, and supported by the foundations in the background. In 1992 the UN called a world conference of all members to be held in Rio de Janeiro. A total of 178 governments, plus thousands of NGO’s, and needless to say the global banking fraternity attended, to discuss the proposals put forward. Some 15,000 people attended, and it became known as the 1992 Rio conference. The proposed measures put forward omitted nothing in the field of human behaviour and their report was so comprehensive and looked so appealing to bank accounts, that all the governments signed up for the deal without giving any consideration as to how the proposals were going to be applied, or the consequences of such insanity. Who mandated all of these people to sign all the rest of us up to this obnoxious plan, a plan that was pure totalitarianism? Countries were not mandated to join; it was all done on a voluntary basis. This was the new bible for mankind and the survival of the earth. Public Private Partnerships would finance the plans, and major shareholders who could see the chance to make billions, agreed to donate funds. This was a major step in establishing a global communist one-world government that had been planned for decades, but few could see the hidden agenda, and fewer still realised its far-reaching societal reform policies, and the total devastation that it would cause across all nations. Unfortunately most still do not see this creeping cancer that is spreading across the US, and Europe.

39

It became apparent early on, that this plan was going to be directed by the elite, (the Bankers) with the assistance of thousands of newly created agencies, and foundations. It was really the same old bosses, but with nightmare plans to utterly change in every conceivable way, how the people of the world should live. As I have written before, anytime you see foundation mentioned, ask why they are involved, and what their agenda is. The entire plans were based on massive development loans and grants to countries that could ill afford such debt, and one can immediately see who stood to gain. As time went on it became apparent that what was initially a voluntary effort, soon changed to become mandatory one. The result of the Rio conference was the issuing of “the bible” of instructions and guidelines that was over 3 inches thick, and cost $145 when published. That in turn spawned over the following years, volumes and volumes of reports and directions from thousands of NGO’s, do-gooder groups, and foundations, dealing with every issue one could imagine. Here is a partial list of activities that were to be examined in an effort to establish a Sustainable Environment, paying particular attention to Biodiversity, and several new buzzwords such as Smart Growth, Common Core, Common Purpose, Every Woman every Child, Every Child Matters, No Child Left Behind, Smart Development, Smart Networks, Smart Health, and Smart Grid. As the plans were to be controlled by “Major Groups” i.e. the elite corporations and banks, my research on these “Major Groups” revealed little information, mostly because they were hidden within the multitude of Foundations involved. I have to state at this point that the UN has a lot of good things going for it, and it does have a lot of good people working for it, but over the years as government donations reduced, that shortfall was filled by global corporations,

who then demanded a say. That say in the running of this supposedly neutral international organization grew bigger until it reached the point where we find it at today, i.e. for the most part a puppet organization of the global elite. A similar situation now exists in all of the international organizations such as WHO, FAO, and the multitude of sub groups of the UN such as UNICEF. Anyway let’s get back to thetotalitarian plans The sovereignty of a country was to become practically abolished under the authority of the UN. We were to be regarded as “World Citizens.” Our allegiance was to the UN first, our Government second, Local Authority third, Area Community fourth, and Local Community fifth. Parental authority was never mentioned, that would be left to the schools, and local boards of management. All of that was to be achieved through education, beginning at 6 years old. From school leavers up, there would be funding and grants available to re-train, and up- skill police forces, teachers, nurses, and so on up the hierarchy to reach politicians of all parties. These courses would be organized and given by groups such as Common Core in the US, and Common Purpose here and in the UK, where NLP (neuro linguistic programming) would be the methods used. If you never heard of NLP well here is a small explanation. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, USA in the 1970s. Its creators claim a connection between the neurological processes (“neuro”), language (“linguistic”) and behavioral patterns learned through experience (“programming”) and that these can be changed to achieve specific goals in life. Bandler and Grinder claim that the skills of exceptional people can be “modeled” using NLP methodology, then those skills can be acquired by anyone.

40

D A N I E L L E Practically all of the top people in these organizations were Communist aligned with Marxist ideologies. Education as we know it will gradually change, here is another quote, “Generally more highly educated people, with higher incomes consume more resources than the poorly educated people, and in this case more education increases the threat to sustainability”. Partners (or what I call corporations) will fund schools through Public, Private, Partnerships, and they will appoint 51% of the school boards thereby having control of the “No child left behind” policies. All religions will be phased out, all health decisions will be taken at school, and the words mother and father would be replaced with parents. Parents will have no say, and home schooling will no longer be accepted.

There is no secret about this population control, even though they don’t come straight out and state so. When one hears people like Bill Gates (Microsoft) telling an audience that world population is creating climate change, and that through proper vaccination, healthcare, and family planning these reductions are achievable. Prince Phillip International President of the World Wildlife Fund, stated that if he could reincarnate he would come back as a virus to reduced global population. The pressure to introduce genetically modified seeds across the globe is another method of population control, and couple that with the sample of unsustainable activities listed below, and the scheme can easily come to pass.

Now here is a complete contradiction in this quote from the US, “ The National Assessment Governing Boards, (NAGB) policy mandates that the content of the National Assessment Education Progress, (NAEP) reflect voluntary national standards. While the US was the first away from the blocks on implementing this “bible” of new behaviour, the UK follows close behind, and we in Ireland are getting there slowly. To assist you in comprehending the methods used, here is a piece from the UK Government site called voice4all. “Creating a Neighbourhood army’ of 5,000 full time, professional community organisers who will be trained with the skills they need to identify local community leaders, bring communities together, help people start their own neighbourhood groups, and give communities the help they need to take control and tackle their problems. This appears to me as a scheme to fractionalise populations into smaller and smaller groups each with its own command structures, headed by a member of the “neighbourhood army” to control communities, and remove the inherent power within large groups and populations. Strength is in numbers working on a common goal, so the adage of divide and conquer springs strongly to mind. This is going to be the greatest change in human behaviour, with the aim of freeing up agricultural land, placing most people in suburban high-rise apartments, where selected corporations will easily supply all services, and private car ownership will not be affordable. You see we want the world species of birds, insects, and plants to return to their previous numbers and habitats, even if these measures kill people, because global population needs to be drastically reduced from 7.5 billion to about 500 million.

The following is a small sample list of activities that are now deemed to be unsustainable according to the godless bible.

41

1. Private property particularly land.

11.

Population growth.

2. Three-lane motorways take up too much land.

12.

Single family homes.

3. Private car ownership.

This whole agenda is so vast, that it would be almost impossible to list everything, but one thing is evident, this whole scheme is a Corporate/Communist plan, using community activists, and women’s groups to establish a system of control, which we have never witnessed before, and which greatly diminish the natural rights of individuals to live freely.

4. Ribbon and rural development.
5. Septic tanks.
6. Crop Irrigation
7. The family unit.

Have you ever thought why the US, and all the countries of Europe have opened their borders to immigrants from all over the world, supporting these extra people when the country can least afford it, and when there is little employment? By increasing the population of countries with immigrants, within a generation there will be a mixed multi ethnic population who will have no allegiance or cultural connections to their adopted country, no work, and no proper education, fully dependent on the state. Nationality will be a thing of the past as the older native families gradually become outnumbered, and with little economic growth as is now the case , wages will reduce as will social supports, resulting in a third rate country with little or no production output. The majority of jobs will be in the service industries, and in the newly formed control groups. There will still be a small percentage of skilled employment, but not very much for graduates generally. As is gradually becoming the case today, private car ownership will become too expensive for most people, and excessive penalties, insurance, and taxes will increase to bring this about. New town developments with vertically arranged apartments will be permitted, but no single-family homes will be allowed.

8.

Grazing horses and cattle, sheep, and goats.

9.

Rural villages

10.

Home schooling

Farming will be tightly controlled by subsidizing farmers to leave the land un used for periods of years, and there will be incentives to use GM seeds wherever crop growing is allowed, thus forcing on the public nothing only patented GM food that is untested on humans. Independent research on GM seeds found that they caused sterilization and massive tumors in third generation laboratory rats under test. This along with the health initiatives mentioned above will see the human lifespan greatly reduced over two or three generations, thus gradually achieving the reduction in global population. Here is an example of the doublespeak that is so prevalent today. There is a global push to have GM seeds introduced in all countries especially the EU. All GM seeds are modified to

withstand Roundup, and Gallup weed killer sprays. When the weed killer resistant crops are sprayed, there is a devastating effect on soil organisms, pollinating insects, and ground water, yet under Agenda 21 we are supposed to protect biodiversity. Bee colony collapse is occurring annually, but nobody is bothered to find the cause. Some scientists believe that Roundup and Gallup are responsible, while others believe that mobile phone signals are the cause. Residues of Gallup and Roundup were found in the blood of over 50% of people tested across the EU, when most of those tested were never near such weed killers. How can we match the aims of Agenda 21 with the above behaviour, does it not give a clear indication of how twisted and covert the entire plan is? This is a creeping scheme so slow and hidden, that it will be upon us before we realize it. Take for example the Bill before the Dail, introduced by Minister Alan Shatter, to lower the age of consent from 17 to 16 years. Why and who would benefit from this? I am of the belief that this is just a test to see if it passes into law, and if it does then the age of consent will gradually be dropped over the coming years to 12 years as has happened elsewhere. Take another example of what Minister Leo Varadkar said recently, and another piece of the jigsaw fits into place. Leo Varadkar is helping to implement the UN’s Agenda 21 in Ireland by forcing people from their cars, through increased taxation and road privatization, or tolling, as our corrupt politicians like to call it. “Transport and agriculture are the primary sources of carbon emissions and Mr Varadkar said that while tackling climate change should not result in a reduced standard of living, it would require “changes to the way we live and where we live”. (This is Verbatim out of the Agenda 21 bible.) How can we change the way we live, and where we

live without changing our standard of living? “Reducing our dependence on imported fossil fuels will be beneficial in its own right. Developing a roadmap for the transport sector will be challenging. We will need to employ many policies and measures such as land use planning and taxation to effect this change”. There is just so much in this insidious

scheme, so much double-meaning and twisted wordplay, that it would take years to fathom out every aspect of it, and the thousands of unsuspecting individuals, who eagerly goosestep towards self-imprisonment is beyond comprehension or logic, but remember, if you keep repeating a big enough lie often enough, then it will eventually be believed. Hitler once said, “It is great for leaders that people don’t think” To finish, here are a few quotes from fellow globalist rent boys like Varadkar which say it all:“It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.” – Paul Watson, Co-Founder of Greenpeace “We’ve got to ride this global warming issue, even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy.” – Timothy Wirth,
President of the UN

Foundation “No matter if the science of global warming is all phony...climate change provides the greatest opportunity to
bring about justice and equality in the world.” – Christine Stewart,
former Canadian Minister of the Environment “We need to get some broad based support, to capture the public’s imagination... So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements and make little mention of any doubts... Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest.” – Prof. Stephen Schneider, Stanford Professor of Climatology, lead author of many IPCC reports. Below are a few examples of donors, but bear in mind that thousands of corporations subscribed, but their names are seldom hidden. This is an agenda to indebt nations with billions in loans on the false idea of saving the earth, from the destruction caused in large by these same corporations, and the same gangs as usual reap the profits. All highlighting in red are the ones who stand to gain, and sentences in blue are my own comments. Commitment by the Asian Development Bank, together with seven other multilateral development organisations to provide more than US$ 175 billion of loans and grants for transport in developing countries over the next decade. So who owns this Development Bank, and who are the seven other organizations who are lending $175 billion to developing countries, who can ill afford such borrowing? The African Development Bank has committed to invest US$ 20 billion and to mobilize US$ 80 billion in additional resources

43

in providing investments and expertise African countries need to achieve their own energy goals. Here again we see mandatory loans of $100 billion being foisted upon poor African countries under the pretense of energy goals, but let us not forget that the natural resources will be plundered in return by the global gangsters of moneylenders. Through the Every Woman Every Child initiative, the United States has committed to mobilize US$ 63 billion in order to help partner countries save lives and achieve sustainable health outcomes. The United States will scale up efforts and achieve significant results in maternal and child health and family planning. The US is hell bent on maternal and child health that will include mandatory vaccinations, sterilization, forced adoptions, while their general healthcare presently ranks about 27th in the world, where they once held third position. Bank of America has set a goal to commit US$ 50 billion over ten years to finance Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and other activities that advance the low-carbon economy. Here is more bullshit about energy efficiency, and renewable energy, while wind turbines have proven non profitable in every region, while technology for free non- polluting energy has been classified secret for the last 60 years. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has a sustainable energy financing target of US$ 30 billion including co-financing with partners which supports SE4ALL goals. Here again the EU are still persisting on renewable energy, an energy so costly that all users are expected to subsidise it at ever-increasing costs. Wind energy has proven itself non commercially

viable, our subsidies have enabled it continue. The Muskoka Initiative for Maternal, New- born and Child Health committed US$ 7.3 billion in new and additional funding for MNCH by 2015. It was anticipated that this would eventually mobilize more than US$10 billion. In June, G8 partners committed US$ 5 billion in new and additional funding by 2015.

The G8 partners are so keen on the health of mothers and children that it becomes more suspicious that family planning and vaccinations only support the pharmaceutical industry at a cost of thousands of lives. There is no mention throughout any of the reports of the role or health of the man. India is spending over US$ 3.5 billion each year on health services, with substantial expenditure on services aimed towards women’s and children’s health. Currently, India is focusing on strengthening its efforts in the 264 districts that account for nearly 70% of all infant and maternal deaths. India will provide technical assistance to other countries and share its experience, and will support the creation of a platform for global knowledge management to oversee the dissemination of best practices. India a country with millions in poverty will borrow $3.5 billion annually for mother and child healthcare, yet they do not support the hungry street families of Calcutta with food programmes. One would imagine that food would be the first priority, but it really shows up the hidden agenda. You can also deduce

from the last sentence from the quote above, that India will be used as a global knowledge test bed. Test their poisons on the poor as usual. Siemens reinforces its commitment to grow its externally verified Environmental Portfolio from currently €29.9 billion to €40 billion in 2014. Now after reading the above sentence one would think that Siemens are a generous company investing up to $40 billion, but what do they do? Siemens are involved in “Smart Grid” another scam that pretends that by installing “Smart Meters” on every house will reduce distribution costs. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are also involved in solar panels, biomass, healthcare, building systems, financing and real estate. All of this looks fine until you delve deeper, and then you see the hidden agenda that produces greater profits, and greater control. DuPont is setting sizeable goals to help end world hunger and ensure food security that are achievable by the end of 2020. $10 billion Global Compact. Du Pont who are one of the major players in the genetically modified seed supply, want to own all food seeds by genetically modifying them. Farmers cannot save this year’s seeds for next year, they must purchase new seeds every year, and they must also purchase the sprays, so instead of ensuring food security, they actually impoverish farmers. If anyone believes that DuPont give two hoots about world hunger, then you had better open your mind, because it is nothing but achieving control of food. The Forum saw the launch of more than 200 commitments covering energy, finance, climate change, water, food, anti-corruption and women’s empowerment. Several of these initiatives have the potential to set new paradigms. Among them are frameworks for public-private policy

collaboration on biodiversity, on food and agriculture and on access to water for people and industry. Now if you have read this far, surely you must be scratching you head in awe and wonderment, because if you apply basic logic, you could not give Agenda 21 full backing. It is a “Trojan Horse of hidden Marxist ideologies that will remove all of your rights and freedoms, unless of course you have been programmed. It is a fact that the majority of people involved in putting

Agenda 21 into practice, such as the political parties, the County Councils, the Civil service, do not see the trap, which they are eagerly walking into. They are not ill-intentioned people, they just do not understand. It is also a fact that the majority of parents do not even understand what Agenda 21 is all about, and who can blame them. The volumes of reports, proposals, and guidelines would take months to read, besides when a local meeting is

called about some local issue, and only a few turn up and decide upon a certain course of action, then the absent ones cannot say that they were not asked; their vote was decided for them by their absence ; unfortunately this is what’s happening across the US. I am not denying that sustainability or biodiversity is a good and essential part of our trusteeship of this earth, but we must begin changing the things that need changing, the things that benefit the common good, and the environment. All I can see from what I have read is a total controlled society of zombies,

led by zombies obeying the dictatorial directions of globalist bankers and corporations. If we are all concerned about our environment and climate change, then let us logically explore what we can do to make things better, and not just explore where we can make money at the cost of freedoms, liberty, and choices. In India and many other African countries there is

45

unimaginable hunger, and death every year, but not much in the line of support. In 2010 Haiti was devastated with an earthquake that killed over 200,000 people and affected over 3 million others. They still wait just to regain the level of poverty that they had prior to the quake. A few weeks ago the Philippines were hit with a massive earthquake that displaced over 4 million people, and left many millions without food or shelter. No substantial aid reached them for over 3 weeks, and when it did eventually come from the UN, it was in the form of 10,000,000 polio vaccines, solar lamps, food and water. This is very peculiar considering that polio is not present in that country. 47,000 deaths already due to vaccine adverse reactions, and thousands more paralysed. Here at home Eirgrid intends to lay high voltage lines across the finest arable land in the country, and who is shouting

about biodiversity, or sustainability? Everybody knows at this stage about the aerial geoengineering that is taking place across the globe, but nobody is shouting about consequences of such insanity. Political interference in scientific climate research undoubtedly is shaping the direction of climate change policy. Yes we will buy carbon credits from multi-billionaire Al Gore, who purchases these credits from poor corrupt African countries. UN Agenda 21 is a sinister and devious plan by the elite Corporations, and Bankers to corral the people into towns, and control all aspects of their lives, under the guise of correcting the climate, creating “good” healthcare particularly for children and women, controlling all food, water, and regenerating vast areas of land while people go hungry. It is a

totalitarian system of control, and we all go willing towards our own imprisonment, and further enslavement where death will be the only release. Waken up people the entire banking collapse was planned and programmed to impoverish nations, reduce wage costs, while retaining or increasing profits, while at the same time constantly repeating the mantra of climate change. If anyone thinks that the natural carbon dioxide gas is altering climate, then tell me what part does the sun play, or how did we ever get out of the ice age? If you sum up the few examples of donations outlined above, you will see that planned “donations” are as follows; 1. $200 billion on energy.
2. $175 billion on transport.

3. $89 billion on mother and child health.
4. $10 billion on hunger.
Do you see the hidden trend? All supposedly to counter climate change, and control human activity, but actually creates immeasurable profits. A LITLE BIT ON CLIMATE. THE ARTIC. For the month as a whole, ice grew at near average rates throughout November at 28,900 square miles per day compared to the 1981 to 2010 average of 27,200 square

miles per day. (Why do they say ice grew at near average rates, when in fact it grew at 6.25%?) At the end of the month, extent was 224,000 square miles lower than average and 162,000 square miles above the same time last year. THE ANTARTIC. Antarctic sea ice extent remains unusually high, near or above previous daily maximum values for each day in November. Sea ice extent averaged 6.63 million square miles for November. The long-term 1981 to 2010 average extent for this month is 6.29 million square miles. (This is an Nov increase of 5.4%.) ... In my own journey in trying to understand the world around me, I have discovered that the more I teach my self how to think, the greater the realisation of how little I really know. Our own inability of HOW TO THINK FOR OURSELVES remains the most critically crucial component contributing to our ignorance, and ignorance remains the most effective form of MIND CONTROL. M. Malone

would you do if you need to develop a sustainable career on the internet? Here is the basic honest truth: most of the people get into Internet Marketing because they are convinced it is an easy way to earn quick money. Their approach is to make a fast website, put up some advertising and a few affiliate links and then sit back and watch while they earn real cash. There are a large amount of individuals who do this and also earn lots of money on the internet. But what if you want more than some extra or even quick cash (quick cash, naturally being a misnomer)? Can Internet Marketing really be leveraged to produce a worthwhile and long term career? The quick and dirty answer is that yes, you are able to make Internet Marketing your long term and sustainable career. You only need to take on the project properly. The procedures and programs you use to build something to earn fast money are not all that different than the methods and systems you will use to build long term profits. So what

It is very important that the first thing you do, in order to earn long term money online, is accept the fact that you are going to have to do real work. You will have to do actual and real work on a daily basis and you will have days when you feel fantastic about what you do and days when you wish you could find something else to take on. This causes it to be just about like every other occupation that is out there. If you want to produce lasting cash flow by working lots right now and not at all later on then you are going to be in for a rude awakening in a little while. So be ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work. There are a few ventures that lend themselves much better to a long term career than others will. Affiliate marketing, to use one example, is a great task for someone who wants to earn money on a part time basis or to supplement your already existent income. Is it truly possible to earn a full time income in this manner? You could if you pick out only the right products and

then work like crazy to promote them. A far better approach, nevertheless, is to create your own products or websites and then promote those. This gives you full control over the projects you take on and how you accomplish them. And you will end up more likely to stick with it in the long run. If you want to give a service on the web this works much the same way. Writers, for example, need to create websites for themselves and create portfolios that they can point to as examples of their work. Finally, perhaps the most significant thing that you need to recognize is that, when you want to build a long term and reliable income on the internet, you need to truly dedicate yourself to your task. You might have fun and feel rewarded by your efforts but first you should tell yourself “yes, I really want to do this. Making a half hearted effort is not about to get you anywhere. Tanaka Ara

MEDIA DECEPTIONS Let me begin by stating that all in the world is not as you have been told. The old saying that “truth is stranger than fiction” couldn’t be more accurate, for we have been deceived on such a grand scale that most would have a difficult time in comprehending the full extent to which this has been handled with deliberate care... The behind the scenes machinations of big money and politics are so well hidden from most of the population, that if people actually knew how things were really run, we would quite literally have a second revolution overnight. Henry Ford knew this well when he said, “It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” Most people who read this might have a hard time fathoming how an entire nation could be so well deceived, but it’s really not that hard when you understand the inner workings and hierarchy of an overly revered media in which we place our blind trust. The truth is not as you know it. Our faith in the media myth has been our Achilles heel. Many have realized long ago that our politicians will lie to us at the drop of a hat, but most have no clue that our news media lie and deceive us just as much, if not more so. We have been deceived by our media to such an extent, mostly because people are too trusting of our system. We very naively believe that broadcasters and journalists would never lie to us. This trust has worked against us with devastating consequences which are unknown to most. To understand how badly you have been misled, you first need to learn about how our news organizations have been infiltrated. Once you learn this undeniable historical fact, it is far easier to understand that life is not as you know it. The First Attack On The Media, Through Money

If you’ve never seen the 1976 movie “Network” you’ve missed one of the best Oscar nominated films on the power of the media over people. The media is supposed to be the watchdog over the American ( Canadian) republic and our democracy, but few know or realize that it was usurped nearly 100 years ago and has been completely stolen from us in the last thirty years since the advent of Reagan deregulation. Don’t believe it? Put down the TV remote and do some research on your own for once, instead of being spoon-fed your news, or disinformation, as it truly is. Consider this quote from John Swinton, former Chief of Staff for the New York Times in an address to the New York Press club. “There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history, in America, as an independent press.( or Canada) You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press? We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.” John Swinton, former Chief of Staff, The New York Times. In 1917, Congressman Oscar Calloway documented in the official Congressional record that multi-millionaire JP Morgan had infiltrated the U.S. media for the sole purpose of

49

exploiting and controlling it. Morgan hired twelve of the top news managers to help him determine the most influential newspapers in America. The idea was to find the primary key news institutions that other news outlets looked to and were thus influenced by. (This is documented in the official U.S. Record, volume 54, dated February 9, 1917.) Once the editors arrived at a consensus, Morgan then bought or infiltrated the top 25 news organizations reported to him by his task force of news managers. An editor was assigned to run each paper, making sure that all news stories were controlled and that the watchdog for freedom was officially neutered. This was a key step towards total information and news control in the United States, giving birth to censorship, disinformation and propaganda. The guardian of our

forefather’s dream of Constitutional freedom had been deeply wounded. The Second Attack On The Media, Through Covert Intel As if that wasn’t bad enough, the CIA made its own foray into news control in the 1940s with a program to infiltrate the media, with the idea to have select journalists parrot the official government line under the guise of national patriotism. Some news members were simply duped, naively thinking

that they were helping America by disseminating important news. Others were simply unscrupulous and morally deficient in their professional trade and were easily enough bought out, spewing whatever disinformation and propaganda that they could cash in on. This project was known as “Operation Mockingbird,” the name alone was suggestive of the mission’s objective, total control of the U.S. media system. Many might naively scoff at such an idea, until perhaps they hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. According to former CIA Director William Colby, “The CIA owns everyone of any significance in the major media.” If that quote alone isn’t enough to raise a “Spock eyebrow” for some, then please consider this gem from another former

CIA Director, William Casey, “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.” One thing the CIA understands well is that information is as good as gold, and he who controls information can use that data for political gain, power and wealth. Through the years Operation Mockingbird lured such venerable broadcast icons as Walter Lippmann, Edward R.

50

D A N I E L L E Murrow, and Walter Cronkite, to name but just a few elite out of hundreds of broadcasters and noted journalists involved in the program. According to released Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) documents, a great many of our hallowed media outlets were alleged to be involved with the Mockingbird project, including over 400 journalists who were used for numerous assignments, not to mention many publishing institutions which were also rumored to be involved Washington Post reporter Carl Bernstein was reportedly once told, “One journalist is worth twenty agents.”

The CIA policy is to use and manipulate these “assets” in order to plant disinformation in the U.S., the same way they have done for years overseas through their Office of Strategic Influence. The problem is, it is apparently sanctioned by Congress for them to do so abroad, but expressly illegal to do so domestically. Over the years, it became increasingly apparent to many observers of the CIA’s effort to control the media through Operation Mockingbird. The biggest blow to the project came in 1974 when two ex-CIA agents, John D. Marks and Victor Marchetti published a book entitled “The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence” (ISBN 0440203368). The book opened the door for many questions following the tell-all expose on Project Mockingbird. Public scrutiny of the CIA hit a new high and drew a concerned response from many in the U.S., including quite a few people on Capitol Hill. As word leaked out concerning the Mockingbird program and concern began to spread over the possible infiltration of the CIA into the U.S. media, the Senate began an investigation under the Church Committee, the United States Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities.

The Church Committee in 1975 revealed Operation Mockingbird. Senator Frank Church (D-ID) testified that the overall expense of disinformation had cost American taxpayers an estimated $265 million a year. That number has grown exponentially since the 70s.

The Church Report found that “over a thousand books were produced, subsidized or sponsored by the CIA before the end of 1967”. For all that was uncovered, the commission was stopped in its tracks by none other than CIA Directors William Colby (73-76) and George HW Bush (76-77). The report from Frank Church’s committee was said to have been deliberately buried.

Despite its exposure, Mockingbird apparently did not die. FOIA documents were eventually uncovered that showed CIA agents openly bragging through interoffice memos that the agency still had in place “important assets” within every major news organization in the U.S. In 1982, the CIA admitted to having reporters on their payroll. The American media facilitates the agenda of Operation Mockingbird by simply avoiding stories altogether that are meant to be kept from the public, or else by mixing some truth with blatant misinformation, to purposefully muddy the water and obfuscate the real facts behind the story. Make no mistake about it, Operation Mockingbird, or a derivation of it, is still alive and operating as our media continues to mislead the public on everything and anything that those pulling the strings wish their paid media puppets to sell to us. Whether it be the numerous unreported incongruities of 9/11, the illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the orchestrated economic collapse, or the diversion of the gulf oil spill, the media has not told us anything close to the truth. As the X-Files was famous for pointing out, “The truth is out there.” All we need to do is look.

51

The Third Attack On The Media, Once Again Through Money The new form of media control became simply enough, buy into it, or just buy it out. Government deregulation in the 1980s made it possible for the conversion of our media into the complicit, homogenized, neutered, spineless industry that it is today. Once deregulation was enacted, the watchdog of democracy, our hallowed and formerly esteemed press, became easy pickings in a hostile takeover for control. The current media of the United States is controlled by a mere half dozen owners and CEOs. Those six individuals have total control over what you see and how your news and information in the world is shaped and presented to you. www.newsfocus.org

Keep it Simple Over the past few months, the concepts of stripping back the superfluous, simplifying and pulling apart the true meaning of integrity have been strong personal themes. For many people, there’s a drive to again inspect old patterns that continue to run happily in the background despite years of self-examination. Perhaps under the direction of a new global energy, there’s a sense of being able to lovingly let go of those things that have served us all well on one level, yet have offered excuses to stay small on another. I came across Don Miguel Ruiz’ “The Four Agreements” the other day and it strongly resonated with this desire to pare back; to simplify; to become more real as a participant in this world and begin operating in a more authentic way. With these 4 simple tenets, we could literally change the way we as humans operate in this world. How do they resonate with you? Please feel free to share your thoughts, we’d love to hear from you. 1. Be Impeccable with your Word: Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Don’t Take Anything Personally: Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering. 3. Don’t Make Assumptions: Find the courage to ask questions

and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life. 4. Always Do Your Best: Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret. ~ Don Miguel Ruiz Awareness Institute

Defending due Process Rights

Abraham Lincoln once said, “Stand with a man while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.” Abraham Lincoln I believe Lincoln’s statement is in full accord with Bible truth. This morning I found an opportunity to post the following comment on an AFLCIO Blog comment area: All serious union members and supporters need to focus on educating friends and acquaintances with the purpose of unions and collective bargaining in the first place–to secure the rights of workers. What rights? DUE PROCESS rights and the inviolability of contracts. As a Union Representative over many years I experienced first hand the failure on the part of “management” and “administration” to fulfill or observe the due process requirements of the Collective Bargaining Contract. Inform friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and your political representatives of the necessity to preserve the hard-won due process rights of every worker in every field. This is what justice is all about. Certain very popular talk-show hosts constantly misrepresent unions. They

frequently repeat the all-out lie that union dues support the political agenda of the union. They seem not to understand that political support for candidates does not come from union dues, but separate voluntary contributions of union members who want to support candidates favorable to their cause. It is time to stand against these lies, and declare the truth. I commented elsewhere this morning that there are two Bible passages that pertain to these issues directly: Luke 10:7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. Compare 1 Timothy 5:18, For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. Psalm 15:4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. The pertinent clause is rather obscure in the King James Version. In the CEV version it reads: And they keep their promises, no matter what the cost. God is very strict in His requirements that legal agreements be kept to the letter. Failure to observe an agreement with a heathen or pagan king was the

for 70 years. There are other examples in the Bible, starting as early as Joshua, who kept an agreement even when he learned that he had been deceived by those who sought and obtained the agreement. I believe Psalm 15:1 makes it quite clear that the consequences of not obeying God’s standard of adhering to contracts as written are most serious for the individuals involved in violating or reneging on an established contract or agreement. This includes all States, politicians, political parties, and voters who support the arbitrary termination of duly agreed upon Collective Bargaining Contracts. Psa 15:1 A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? The rest of this short psalm provides the answer to the question raised in the first verse. Collective Bargaining agreements are written for a specific length of time, often one year, two years, or three years. The proper stance of elective officials, management, and administration would be to live up to the contracts agreed to. When the Contract period is up, and the Contract is up for re-negotiation, THEN is the time to secure any fair and needful adjustments to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining agreement. Unions also must learn to live with reality in difficult times and not make demands which cannot be justified morally or by economic good sense. Jerry Smith

Lavender’s New Testament

www.lavendersnewtestament.com

Lavender’s New Testament offers a deeper look into the Word of God! The original Greek Text clearly reflected in English! “For me, the Lavender Translation brings me the Gospel message as it was originally written and meant to be understood by the New Testament writers, and as it actually was understood by the original recipients. The Lavender Translation gives us for the first time a readable linguistically and doctrinally accurate translation which makes it possible for every reader to really get back to the Bible!” -Jerome H. Smith

“Plain to the English reader” “If you seek and value truth, you will appreciate the truth in translation now provided by the Lavender’s New Testament translation. Jesus said you will know the truth and the truth will make you free. He also stated “Your word is truth.” We all need to learn to value truth above our traditions, creeds, denominations, and theological predispositions and preferences. The standard for truth is clearly the Bible. That is why it is imperative that we have an accurate and truthful translation of the New Testament that clearly reflects in English the distinctions preserved under Divine inspiration in the original Greek text. I highly commend The Case for a New Translation and Lavender’s New Testament which it introduces, because at last Lavender’s New Testament makes these distinctions plain to the English reader.” Jerome H. Smith Author and Editor of Nelson’s Cross Reference Guide to the Bible

“ Scholarship of integrity...”

“Fascinating and accurate work...”

“For more than fifty years I have known the author of Lavender’s New Testament (LNT) and his pursuit of truth. During that time he has been diligent to study and teach Scripture by accurately translating it from the original Greek. Now we have his years of research available in one volume to benefit both the scholar and the layperson. There are numerous so-called translations on the market, but Dr. Lavender’s scholarship of integrity, rather than doctrinal bias, excels them all. The LNT brings clarity to many otherwise obscure passages. As you read it, revelation will flow to free your mind and spirit from the bondage imposed by false teaching.”

“Lavender’s New Testament (LNT) is a major triumph for anyone who appreciates the truth of the Word of God. It is a fascinating and accurate work; illuminating to lay people and scholars alike. Dr. Malcolm Lavender, a Greek scholar of the first degree, has poured nearly twenty-five years of tireless effort into writing ten books, including seven years in this monumental work. Dr. R. L. Lavender’s work on the footnotes and concise commentary show how most of todays translations have been corrupted in areas promoting a different gospel. Though some may reject these and the translator’s insightful scholarship, this work is for anyone who desires an accurate translation and not one that conforms to denominational bias. It will not only capture the attention of those who seek biblical truth and accuracy, but also challenges others in their theological stance.
