Thank you so much for stopping by and checking things out! This guide was designed to help you get to know me and find out more about the experience and services that I offer. Please make yourself comfortable and have a look around.

I photograph genuine love, laughter, tears of joy and sorrow, the big and little moments in life, and those fleeting moments in between. My style is a combination of directed and unscripted photographs that are pieced together to tell a unique story. Your story. I love creating beautiful portraits, but I have a real passion for capturing anything that is honest and real. It’s usually those in-between moments when you think that nobody else is watching. Those moments are genuine and worth remembering. No pretend, fake smiles, random props, or awkward posing required. The only thing you need to do is be yourself. I will be right there with you, guiding you and capturing your story as it unfolds naturally.

That is, if you let me.

Danielle Lentz Photography is more than just a boutique business or collection of pretty photographs. It’s an unexpected adventure, a dream come true, and it’s my whole heart. If you already know me, then you know that I tend to laugh a little too loud, stay up a little too late and I love ice cream, donuts, and cold brew coffee almost as much as life itself. I’m loyal to a fault and hopelessly devoted to the people I love. I’ve been called a perfectionist more times than I can count, but I can assure you that I am far from perfect and I’ve learned to embrace that truth. I’m a Seattle native and I love the city, but I’m a country girl at heart. I’m also a child of God, big sister, loyal friend, devoted wife and mama bear of two little loves. I draw inspiration from nature’s beauty and people who passionately pursue what they love. Last, but certainly not least, I adore a good story and any person, place, or thing with a little character, old world charm, and a bit of quirkiness.

So, now you know a little bit about my story. Let’s hear yours!

Whether it’s a wedding or a portrait session, my goal is to capture a piece of your story in the most genuine and honest way possible. When you work with me, I not only want you to love your images, but I want you to love your experience. I believe that photography should be genuine, honest, and fun. It all starts with getting to know the real you and your story. Once we get to know each other, you can relax and leave the rest to me. I will always try to keep our time together as casual and comfortable as possible. We will talk like old friends and probably laugh at ourselves, a lot.  On the day of our shoot, I will ask you to be yourself and forget about the camera. The best images come from the spontaneous and genuine moments that happen when you think that nobody else is watching. It’s real and honest. It’s when the magic happens and it’s what I strive to create when we work together.

If you think we could be a good match for each other and you also happen to love coffee or happy hour, let’s talk!

PORTRAITS & LIFESTYLE Custom photography is an investment for both of us. Each session is carefully planned and personalized around each client so no two sessions are ever alike. “I think Danielle is an amazing artist. She did our wedding and I can’t tell you how amazed I am at every photo. She truly captured the love between me and my husband. She makes you feel at ease with every meeting you have. She really helps work with you if you’re not sure what you’re wanting. I have the utmost respect for her and can’t wait for her to take photos of us in the future. You will not be disappointed whatsoever with any job she does for you.” KAYLA DOCKTER

Who is your ideal client? My clients are laid back, adventurous, and like to try new things. They might be a little quirky and tend to do things a little different from everyone else. My clients embrace the imperfect, appreciate the little things, and find beauty in the mundane parts of their everyday. My clients come to me simply because they want to capture a piece of their story in the most sincere and honest way possible.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

When will my images be ready?

I completely understand that life gets the best of us and things come up (i.e. bad weather, illness, appointments, etc). If the scheduled date/time doesn’t work, let’s reschedule for a date that works for the both of us. However, should you choose to cancel for any reason, I have to remind you that the retainer is nonrefundable.

After your wedding or portrait session, I will upload and back-up your images and begin the editing process. The editing process takes approximately 2 weeks for lifestyle/ portrait sessions and up to 8-12 weeks for weddings during the busy season. I will keep in touch with you every step of the way so you will know as soon as your images are ready. How will my images provided?

What should I wear? Wear something that makes you feel good and reflects your personal style. Lots of color and layers always look great on-camera. For the ladies, color, prints, and accessories are always fun, but less is more. For the gents, I would keep it simple and avoid logos, baseball hats, tennis shoes or sneakers, unless they are cool sneakers like a pair of chucks. I would also stay away from white or black shirts and anything too trendy or matchy-matchy.  If you are still feeling lost, I’ve created a Pinterest board to help get the juices flowing.

Can you Photoshop_______? I get this question ALL THE TIME. While I occasionally use Photoshop to enhance an image, I do not use Photoshop to alter your appearance or remove things that are part of you. I firmly believe it is my job to make you comfortable during our time together and to find the most beautiful and flattering way to capture you and your loved ones just the way you are.

Once your images are ready, you will receive a link to an online gallery where you will have the option to view, share, and download your images immediately. For most collections, you will also receive a USB flash-drive with all the high-resolution digital negatives. How many images do you deliver? Each portrait session and wedding is completely unique so the number of images largely depends on what we are capturing and your expectations. Rather than striving for a number, I just focus on delivering high quality images that tell your story. As a guideline, you can expect to receive roughly 35-50+ images for basic portrait sessions and 400-800+ images for weddings.   Where should I order my prints?   You can order professional grade prints and albums from me or you can print on your own. For high quality DIY prints and photo books, I highly recommend Artifact Uprising and mpix.

Do you need a shot list?

Do you guarantee your work?

During the planning process, we will discuss your expectations and any “must have” shots. I will certainly leverage a list for wedding formals and will also take note if any “must have” shots are identified for portrait sessions. Otherwise, we just let it flow and capture your story as it unfolds.

Absolutely! My goal is to provide you with high quality images that you will love and treasure for a lifetime. If you do not love your images, then I will work with you to determine what I could have done better and either make the necessary adjustments or redo your session at no extra charge.
